The staff were completely untrained. Getting someone out of the back of the house where laughter fills the kitchen is a challenge. Staff are on their phones or play like children here. When the food came, we were handed it like a postal package. It was handed over rather than put on the table in front of us- rather like saying 'find the best place for your plate yourself'. Our neighbour asked for a glass of red wine. The waiter put a half filled bottle of red wine in front of him. He had to be told by the guest to take it back and fill a glass half full instead. Just embarrassing service! The large salad bowl, which according to the menu was supposed to have a large variety of veggies on it, it was mostly green lettuce leaves with a few specks of other veggies. The pumpkin was already fermenting. What a shame. Salad dressing seemed unknown. The salad had a few lines of concentrated balsamico as decoration on it, but no dressing. When we asked for it, we got a big stare. We then explained that at least a bit of vinegar and oil should be served with it. The waiter then brought a teaspoon of oil and another of vinegar for 2 big bowls of salad. The restaurant itself looks quite nice and could benefit from lots of local residents as well as hotel guest right around it, but I think we now know why everyone goes elsewhere. Prices are reasonable but the quality of food and even more so the lack of competent staff will never make this place a success. It is mostly empty for a reason - a rare thing when it comes to restaurants...
Read moreMy first time visiting The Coffee Club and I enjoyed my dining experience very much. The restaurant was beautifully designed and located on a nice quiet street.
The menu had a good selection of western cuisine as well as Thai cuisine. I selected the signature big breakfast with an iced latte and everything was delicious.
On top of the good food, the service from the staff was excellent and one of the best I’ve experienced. Our server was Mook and she was the best! She is so kind and provided one of the best service I’ve experienced in Bangkok. She was very knowledgeable explaining the menu, coffee selections and the loyalty program with their mobile app. Mook was very attentive in taking care of our table and made sure everything was to our liking. We all enjoyed her service very much and appreciate the dining experience she provided. Thank you Mook!
Overall, I highly recommend The Coffee Club for the wonderful food and...
Read moreAfter visiting Thailand for over a month and a half, the last day I needed something to eat from back at home as I think I was over Thai food. My friend and I bumped into this place as it was full of Americans so we were like for sure this is the place to eat lunch & it was a hit! Finally we found something that is wasn’t Thai or Indian or Asian itself. We were extremely content.
Coffee and food was amazing! Service was super super slow as unfortunately to watch there was 2 servers trying to serve about more than 30 tables and so sad because they looked like super tired exhausted teens. One bus boy & one girl making everyone’s coffee order. INSANE! They deserve better!
Highly recommended if you do not want anymore Thai food! We also tried a location in Phucket but it was a much much better experience food...
