Lovely presented shop but once inside the staff just hovver around the children making sure they shut the lids on the sweet boxes. Which I understand is important for food hygiene but slamming them shut each time the children take a scoop just takes the enjoyment out of it. Some of the items are very over priced. Many lovely memories for children are from visiting sweet shops, but it was very strict in there. Once going to the til to pay I was so shocked to hear that these pick and mix sweets 2 x bags totalled over 20pounds. We left feeling quite deflated as the children felt so guilty that cheap pick and mix items came to such an amount. Perhaps consider a cheaper pick and mix price for the cheaper gummy sweets and then a higher price for the more luxury collections. As £10 for a bag of gummy sweets and millions is very unreasonable. One of the few shops that was open on bank holiday and looked nice from the outside. Daughter wanted to buy some sweets. They only offer the usual pick & mix and massive pieces of different unappetising fudge and ore wrapped bars. The shocker and disappointment comes when you go to pay for for your sweets, and they charge you an extortionate price, …. Three pieces of fudge in one bag and a small pickle mix came to £18!! Another reviewer said the sweets were good quality and you get what you pay for. This certainly isn’t the case for this shop! The fudge was so bad, Didn’t even taste like fudge and I actually spat it out …a complete waste of money! Don’t bother...

Stepdaughter bought a giant cookie here, that once we got home (not far thankfully) we realised it was 2 weeks out of date. We returned it the next day,17th August 23, but the lady on the till was very rude and said she didn't know when we bought it and just to take another. My step daugher really wanted one to take home to Cornwall, so went to get another and realised the date labels had been removed. Again I told the member of staff, and she just shrugged it off and said she will check them in a bit. Clearly these had been removed on purpose and selling out of date cookies. Absolutely shocking.
