Wow, what can I say about this beautiful family Guest House. From the easy safe parking behind the electric gates when you arrive to the beautiful house that stands in front of you on arrival was amazing. When you walk in through the front door the house is filled with the most amazing diffuser smells, in keeping with the beautifully decorated rooms. We were met by the owners Daughter who was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had booked last minute direct with the Guest House the day before and we were not disappointed, our room was the Large Super King Size Room. On opening the door we were both surprised how big this room was, plenty of space, beautifully decorated, the biggest and most comfortable bed with a tv and seating if you wished. It had a quirky little hidden bathroom with a Power Shower and Roll top bath and complimentary toiletries which smelt divine. There are Tea and coffee facilities available in the room and outside of our room complimentary snacks, biscuits, sweets and a fridge containing fresh milk and orange juice. The guest house also offers 10% discount at their restaurant, The Croft, which is literally a 5 minute walk away, the breakfast was amazing and the price was really good, the Manager was really friendly and welcoming and also a real dog friendly welcome. We absolutely loved our stay here, it was very relaxing and calm and we felt like we really had the relaxing break we needed, we wished we had stayed longer. We loved it so much we have booked a surprise birthday night away for my Daughter and her partner to enjoy. Donna was very helpful and down to earth with her communication and her Daughters who assisted us at the Guest House and at the restaurant were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. This beautiful Guest House is situated conveniently in the centre of Bourton On The Water with a short walk to all restaurants, pubs, shops and pretty walks along the river. Amazing!!! I honestly don’t know where to start with this amazing accommodation in the lovely little village of Bourton-on-the-water.

We stayed in the garden view apartment. It was unreal. A modern yet quirky one bedroom apartment in the heart of a lovely village. The apartment was pristine clean and had everything we needed for our trip.

Donna , the host was so warming and lovely. We stumbled across this apartment whilst exploring the lovely little village and decided that we would stay for the night. Donna made us feel so welcome and we even got freshly baked cookies upon arrival.

We also had fresh juices and milk in the fridge.

The apartment was very spacious and has a lovely living room area with a modern kitchen with all the facilities we needed. Toaster , kettle , coffee machine, induction hob.

There is a television in both the living room and the bedroom with both a bath and shower in the apartment too.

The bed was super comfy and spacious. The bedding smelt amazing and fresh.

Private car park in the heart of the village. Which is less than a 50 yard walk away from the front gate.

My apologies for this late review.. Last month we were in between cruises and had five nights to explore the UK. Bourton on the Water was recommended by some friends. Halford House caught our attention as a place to stay due to its location, secure setting with parking and adults only. We could not have been more pleased. We chose to stay in the cottage that is separate from the main home. It gave us room to spread out with a separate living room and kitchen area. Loved the privacy, the decor of the cottage, the yard was beautiful with lawn and pretty flowers. The outdoors had plenty of seating areas scattered around. Donna, the owner was easily available for any questions we had. The best of all for us was the ability to park our car behind a gated wall, the privacy, yet, have easy access just outside the gate to the center of the most beautiful village. The walk to restaurants and shops in just two minutes, or simply taking tranquil walks along the water. We can’t thank Donna enough for her hospitality and opening up her beautiful home to share with others. We would definitely return.
