We needed to change our wood stove because ours was too big and overheated our home. I came in and talked to Alex who directed me to their Green Mountain as the best option. I had a lot of questions that you just can't find answers on websites. Comparative questions about different brands, different woods and the like.

I was really concerned about burning seasoned pine in a catalytic stove, but Alex said it would work.

I also asked him about "burning the stove off" outside, which I did. The smoke was so bad that I got really concerned if I had made a huge mistake in buying this stove. But I also had to burn it off outside due to all of the toxic fumes of breaking a stove in.

So I changed the stove with the old one and started it up. You have to block the wood up to get it to breathe right. It started with no back draft or smoke in the house on the first light. I was gratefully impressed.

It's been burning this morning on the coldest windiest day of the year. It's so comfortable in the house. I'm in a T shirt and bare feet and very comfortable.

Great Experience! After carefully shopping online and locally for over 6 weeks for just the right set of Fire Logs to replace our old set...Marsha and I could not be more Pleased with the Selection, Value, Advice and Selection at Firehouse Casual Living Store...We shopped the big box stores & local gas/propane appliance stores...and scoured the internet reviews... I had assumed that Firehouse Casual Living would be a great shopping experience because the store is so nice and well layed out...and I also assumed that it was going to be on the expensive side...We were pleasantly surprised... At all levels the pricing on Gas Fire Logs were the most competitive we found...We are very pleased with the level of service and pricing was the best apples to apples after much research...we saved $200+ Dollars over comparable sets we looked at... The only thing I can say about any negative reviews is that this is a family owned business and I have worked in retail in a family environment...If they were looking for someone to pounce on them when they walked through the door and try to sell them something...they were in the wrong place...very casual and enjoyable atmosphere... Thanks...

We bought our gas fireplace here and they arranged for installation as well. It is beautiful and we loved it until a couple months later it exploded due to delayed ignition since the rocks they put in were blocking the gas jets. The fire department had to be called. They did sent the installers back out to check out and repair the fireplace. They were very cavalier about what went wrong and our fears. Today a different company came for our yearly maintenance and cleaning. Our fireplace has been completely shut off and deemed as unsafe due to damage from the explosion and still being overloaded with rocks. The technician said we were lucky there weren’t more problems since the fireplace was no longer sealed due to broken clasps. If you are concerned about the safety of your home and family I’d suggest going with a different company.

12/11/24 Firelight did send someone new to look at our fireplace. They replaced the broken clasp and did an inspection to make sure all was working properly. Our fireplace is in working...
