This place is amazing! Yes the trees are a bit more expensive, but they are all placed standing up in tree stands. Easy to see all sides of the tree so you know what you are getting when you purchase. The customer service is wonderful. Our tree was not drinking water and Chris and Austin came out and put a fresh cut on the tree. They assessed it and said they would replace it at no charge if it did not start drinking water. Luckily it did because of the in home service they provided. Less expensive tree lots won't do that. Chris and Austin were awesome to work with as well. We tried to tip them and they declined since they were responding to an issue with the tree. I thought that was very professional on their part. I would highly recommend Big John's to anyone looking for a beautiful tree that is guaranteed to look wonderful through...
Read moreJust taking down the tree today (Jan 6), and it’s still in fantastic shape (and smells awesome) especially considering we purchased it on Dec 4. We Sprung for a premium tree as we had guests coming to town through Jan 4, so we needed a fresh tree that would last a full month… and it did!
Prices were comparable to other local tree lots in Buckhead that we checked, but the selection and quality was way better at Big John’s. We Have bought cheapies from THD in past if we’re not staying home for Christmas, but assumed those wouldn’t last. And last time we tried Pike’s they were down to Charlie Brown trees pretty early.
All in all, I’d def recommend Big John’s if you want a fresh, high quality tree and/or...
Read moreRip off, go elsewhere. Trees come from across the country (Oregon for example) and they are still over $200 for a 7 footer (ridiculous). The pricing is so inconsistent there is zero credibility. For example, a 7-8' Fraser Fir for $200-$250 (not including stand) but the 5' equivalent is $90. Absurd, especially when the trees show signs of death already on the limbs. The worst part is that half the trees aren't even priced, the manager comes and looks at the tree and 'assigns' a price, then they do not budge on the price at all and are not friendly about it. Even the other Big John locations have fresher trees for lower prices. There are too many options for trees in Atlanta to settle...
