Good for any trade show.Plenty of space.usually not much to eat right there at the center if you are spending all day there if you want to go out downtown to eat be mindful that it is very windy around there. There are some nice restaurants and some regular fast food places in the area so you got your pic. I would recommend driving if you can't drive I would take this train not the bus. I'm talking about Marta. The stalls they rent out if you want to have a presentation at the sensor will accommodate you at a reasonable price any on how much space you need and they will also deliver crates of your goods and displays I cannot tell you what the exact pricing is but there are always functions there if you are ever in the mood to go down there and be curious about so many different things on so many different weekends. Just look it up on the Georgia World Congress center. If you want to make a day of it CNN center is there that also has a few restaurants at least they used to Anne's there is parking at Philips arena you don't want to park anywhere on the street and have to run back and forth to a meter. That's why I say go via Marta Drake's is five points get off go west and get off at the first stop. Avoid five points above ground if you can stay in the station. There is a lot of craziness going on out there often times and keep in mind how windy and cold it gets downtown because of the way the building filter the wind.lts other than within walking distance of the Mercedes-Benz stadium and what used to be called Philips arenas after it was called the Omni here. Not sure exactly how many names it has had and what is called now. Hope that helps a little bit whatever you needed to know. Check out the event calendar online and that should have any more...
Read moreWe came for the Big South volleyball tournament, here is a volleyball moms takeaway:
—All things considered, we loved this gorgeous venue. 10/10. It was perfect. It’s truly a spectacle! So large!
—Prepare to walk a lot. If your girls normally wear slippers or uggs when they change out of their court shoes, have them bring comfortable walking sneakers to change into instead to avoid fatigued ankles from endless walking in slippers. Seriously moms, listen to this advice, it’s so so so much more walking than even Orlando or other big tournaments.
—Traffic is horrible. Parking is even worse. You should take the Marta (train) to get to and from the center; it’s easy, fast, and the girls had so much fun navigating the subway. The Georgia World Congress Center IS a stop on the subway line, so you pop out right there at the center.
—The temp is really weird in this center. Some spots are ice cold, others are warm/muggy. Dress in layers you can remove so you’re covered either way.
—If you’re worried about luggage on the final day of the tournament after checking out of your hotel, even though they say they will not store luggage/not to bring luggage on the tournament website, they have a massive bag checking area with attendants and everything in the same area as ticketing/spectator entrance on the last day of the tournament.
—The Coke Factory is a really fun way to kill time for cheap for a team bonding outing, and Rock’s Chicken a short walk from the Coke Factory is THE PERFECT STOP for your...
Read moreThe best thing is that it's big enough for events and it's clean. Otherwise their food is really expensive and small most of the time. Very few food staff speak English, which I'm not usually picky about but you can't talk to them when something isn't right with your order. The food vendors they bring in are better. They have spent months replacing escalators and they still aren't done and apparently won't be until 2026 at least. If your event goes really late there won't be any food open. The one bar they have closes really early and feels like it's only open for a few hours. Not my favorite event space even though it's a nice building and the janitorial staff is great. The janitorial staff get a 5 star. The security staff can vary between a 2 star...
