GO OUT YOUR WAY OR PLAN YOUR ROUTE TO DRAW TOWARDS & IN MAC'S FOR ONE REASONS PRICES. YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN.
THE SECOND REASON WOULD HAVE BEEN CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT THE STORE HAS A FEW GREAT EMPLOYEES, ON-THE-OTHER-HAND, THERE IS A SKINNY 5'5" ANTAGONIZING, DEMENTED, IRREVERENT & NON-QUALIFIED SUPERCILIOUS EMPLOYEE. HIS SUPERIORITY COMPLEX IS FUELED BY THE FACT THERE IS NOW A OFFICER OUT FRONT. FRANKLY, HIS INTENT MAY BE TO GET PARTICULAR PEOPLE LOCKED-UP. YOU CAN ASSUME HIS MOTIVATION BY LOOKING IN HIS EYES. HE FOLLOWED ME OUT & FLAGGED ME WITH THE OFFICER. AND THAT IS THE KIBD OF PEOPLE THAT ARE MAKING THE FOOD IN FAST-FOOD RESTURANTS.
WE HAVE TO INTERACT WITH CASHIERS; THEREFORE, WE EXPECT PROFESSIONALISM FROM THEM. DOES MANAGEMENT TEACH WORKERS TO CALL THE CUSTOMER ANYTHING THEY FEEL THAT DAY (GUY, BOSS, BRO', ETC...). FRANKLY, BOSS IS DISINGENUOUS LOOK IT UP IN THE URBAN DICTIONARY. THE SERVING (& PRIMARY REASON FOR THIS POST) CASHIER CHANGED GREETING TO SIMPLY "SIR". THE OVER HEARING CASHIER WAS REPULSED BY MY REQUEST, INTERRUPTED & THE TRANSACTION & REFERED TO ME AS "BOSS". FEIGNED ADJUSTED MY CARD IN READER & ATTEMPTED TO ANSWER THE SERVICE, AUTHENTICATION & ARTHORIZATION QUESTION. I STOPPED HIM IMMEDIATELY. THAT IS SOMETHING SOME OF THESE CASHIERS ARE TRYING TO DO NOW, STOP THEM. ALWAYS GET A RECEIPT ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU USE A BANK CARD. SOME GAS STATION KNOW CHARGE $6.50 FOR 22 OZ. (YOU DECLINE IT) OF TROPICANA ORANGE JUICE. MACS CHARGES $3.48, GREY GOOSE DROP(GLASS...
Read moreI live in The Plaza Midtown , right across from Macs. I go there daily. Today I was discriminated against and treated differently then the client that was ahead of me.
I went in, to purchase a Beer, I noticed the guy in front of me came in got a bottle of liquor checked out WITHOUT being asked for ANY IDENTIFICATION, yes they are selling liquor and not asking for ID.
I come up directly behind the guy and notice I only grabbed cash and not my license, so the manager then says “I can’t sell you this without your ID”.
Keep in mind the gentleman ahead of me was NEVER not 1 time asked for IDENTIFICATION TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL. I asked calmly, ok well why did you just sell this gentleman a bottle of liquor without verifying ID. The manager said “well he looked familiar, I have seen him before”
I was floored!!!! I then went to grab my ID from my home, and returned to the location to purchase my beer. I was very pleasant, and the manager was literally BADGERING me to come to his register to check out. I politely declined, yet he came over to the register where I was to continue to talk down on me.
I am deeply saddened by the mistreatment that I had to endure at this establishment today. The head manager has always been so nice and pleasant but tonight I feel as a black gay man I was discriminated against completely and I will not stop until...
Read moreIn all fairness, I’ve only been here once. And if I’m going to give a completely fair 5-star review, I should probably frequent this place a few more times. But they nailed it on my first visit, and what I saw while I was there convinced me that I need to come back. First off, their busy midtown location offers a parking lot! First star! Second, their selection is excellent. I haven’t fully tested how deep it goes across each type of liquor and wine, but I saw some unexpected items right off the bat, so I was encouraged. Second star! In the wine department, they got a solid selection from the best regions. I went looking for Washington wines in Georgia, which is never a given, and found some excellent ones. Third star. And while I was browsing, they immediate found me and offered their help. And their recommendations were spot on! So they knew their stuff. Fourth star. And then, the check out was fast a really friendly. Five stars! I was in an out before a dinner party in about 5 minutes. This place is a winner. It may not look like much, and some may be turned off by it’s appearance. But Mac’s is a winner in my book and will become my regular haunt for all my...
