Twice, I purchased items at Staples, only to discover when I returned home, that one or more items were missing from my shopping bag. Hmmmm? I had to return to the store to pick them up, a huge waste of my time and energy! Then I purchased a chair, for $315. I paid $10 to Staples to assemble the chair. When it was assembled, I came to pick it up, and was puzzled as to why the chair looked "collapsed". When I asked a sales assistant to look at the chair, because it did not look like it was assembled correctly, she rushed me out of the store, saying that it was fine, and to "adjust" the chair when I got home. When I got home, the chair could not be adjusted properly. I called Staples. Over the phone they could not give me adequate instructions to fix the position of the chair. They told me that my only remedy was to bring the chair back to the store. When I had time, weeks later, I brought the chair back to the store. An associate simply sat in the chair, and used levers to adjust the seat and chair back, and fixed the chair. Now why didn't the person I spoke with on the telephone give me these instructions? There was NO APOLOGY, no offer of assistance to get the chair back into my car. Do I like shopping at Staples?...

No one greeted me as I walked through the door. I stood and waited at the printer center for a few minutes and no one greeted me there either. I had to go looking for an employee to help me. The employee that I got the attention of tried to help me, but explained to me that he did not work in the printing section. A page printed with little to nothing on it and he said that I would be refunded for that. He asked me to wait for the printing expert and walked away.
An employee came to the printing section and never asked if he could help me. Did not acknowledge that I was even there. I walked up and asked for help and instead of helping me, he continued to do whatever he was doing and, without looking at me, told me what I was doing wrong.
I noticed that another customer had asked the original employee who “helped” me for help and he also, continued to work on stocking shelves, without helping the customer find what they were looking for.
Needless to say, I will be going elsewhere from now on. (I also never...
Read moreI strongly preferred and greatly miss the old Airport Mall Staples location, but since they closed several years ago, we are now forced to shop here for our office supply needs. I feel like the selection of products at this location isn't nearly as vast as it was at the now defunct Airport Mall store. I came here recently in search of a new office chair and it was very slim pickings. They didn't even have a fraction of the chairs that were available on their web site. Long story short, I ended up placing my order online instead, which I was hoping to avoid, because I wanted to see the chair in person and test it out for comfort before purchasing it. My husband couldn't even find a decent day planner here. However, the store is clean and well-organized and the staff is friendly enough, so that bumped this review up from 2 to 3 stars.
