I wanted to love this place... I tried to love this place..it just feels...weirdly unwelcoming? Like I was accidentally invited to a party but im not really invited. I don't like the red rope in the front. It feels like overkill. And u have to wait to be let in like you're some nobody. It doesn't make me very happy then u walk down these stairs as a security guard stares at you (he's awesome and I understand it's his job and he's always been super awesome he should get a raise) but the style of parading around inside just feels gross. It needs a bit more sprinkling of hospitality but maybe they are just over worked. I will give this place another chance. I feel that some of their staff are phenomenal and some staff weren't as kind and it made me not want to purchase anything. I recommend coming here yourself and hopefully you have a better experience. On other occasions the experience was better but still felt cold and a little...snobby? I also feel they were a bit rough with some merchandise but that might just be a personal view. I hope to try this store again and have a better experience! I believe this store can make it better...probably needs a more courteous manager but maybe i just think too much about a stores potential and how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been here multiple times and everyone is always extremely nice and welcoming. I recently visited here because I wanted to buy a Chanel classic flap bag in black caviar with silver hardware. They had the bag I was looking for so I decided to try it on. First thing I noticed was that the bag sat really low when I made it a crossbody and I remember at the Chanel store it sat much higher which is what I originally liked about the bag. I thought maybe I was confused on which bag/size I wanted. Then, the inside zipper said e.p on it which I had never seen before on a Chanel classic flap. I mentioned how low it sat and the e.p on the inside zipper to the person helping me and they replied with āoh we have another size over hereā.
The bag was over $9,000 at What Goes Around Comes Around so I decided I would go to the Chanel store down the street and see if they had other bags/more selection. I ended up trying on the classic flap bag and decided to just buy the bag from the Chanel store since the price difference was so small. Not making any type of assumptions about the authenticity of the bags sold at this store I just wanted to share my personal experience for anyone else whoās looking at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife ventured into the New York store and had intended on making a serious purchase.
She took a photo so that I could see what she wanted to buy..
After been given the once over eye of judgement she was abruptly yelled at by the staff. "NO PHOTOS !"
I called the store to ask what the big deal was.
The response I got was illogical.
"We don't allow photos of merchandise for loss prevention reasons."
"This is Seth Weissers policy."
So if they don't allow photos then why do they have a website with photos of the merchandise ? The website also allows people to search by location therefore making it easy for the most inept thief to ensure they are stealing from the right location. Or why post on on social media identifying the current stock they have in store.
NO PHOTOS !
Lost sale and never going back and I am making sure I spread the word to anybody that will listen.
What goes around comes around never a truer...
