Boston Ghosts: Ghost Tours & Haunted Pub Crawls — Local services in Boston

Our group chose this tour after the good reviews and it was a huge disappointment. The EMF detectors are not worth it. Seem very cheap and the 4 never displayed the same activity readings even though they were all in close proximity. Our tour guide Kai gave an incredibly boring tour that was hard to hear - not based on how loud they were necessarily but the way they speak and annunciate words and story tell in general. The stories were not good - our group wanted to leave after the second stop but I thought maybe it would get better. It didn’t. It would have been better if maybe we could have got some history of what we were seeing but seriously the stories were so bad. It seemed like Kai got flustered when the other ghost tour company was near our group and would stutter or have to re-start the story. Not worth the time or money - the other trolley ghost tour looked more fun and the guides were more entertaining - the other group got to enter the cemetery whereas this company does not have that privilege. We just finished our tour and it was absolutely awful. We paid for the extended version but left early because our tour guide Josh was the absolute worst. He was stoned the whole time, you couldn’t follow a single thing he was saying and he would forget facts and keep saying “umm” and making these hand motions as if he was trying to pump his brain to become filled with information after being depleted from whatever he was on. We went for my best friends birthday and it was a complete disaster. Helen Keller would have been a better guide. The whole first 5 mins all he did was talk about tipping, which was so tacky. It was so disappointing and just an awful experience. Every time the trolley tour went by, we were filled with regret.
