Claire's — Local services in Branson

My fiancé and I went shopping in this store on Christmas vacation and did not have a very pleasant experience. It was a Saturday evening and they were doing a buy 3 get 3 free for all items and we decided to take advantage of the sale. I got to a different store and changed my mind on 5 items we had purchased, so he returned them and only kept the one item; a two layered necklace for $15. We got to our hotel and were about to leave to go to a Christmas event and as I was wearing it and getting ready it kept tangling really easily and I went to straighten it out and fix it, and one of the chains snapped like twig and I didn’t even get to wear it except for those few minutes I was getting ready.…. Then a couple days later, we went to return it and they wouldn’t give us our money back. Because we “had the wrong receipt” which I’m not even sure how that happened because we purchased everything together the first time. Then they found a back-up receipt that they kept and told us they “couldn’t give all of our money back because we purchased it on a sale day…..” My advice is not to shop here. The staff were friendly when we were giving them money, but when we wanted our money back for a piece of crap, weak necklace, they weren’t as cordial or as helpful. So, customer service; not the best. To sum up, I will not be shopping here again, because, when I purchase something, I would like to be able to return it for a FULL refund and if that can’t happen, you don’t get anymore of my business, plain and simple. And if you do shop here, my advise is to make sure that what you purchase is as strong as a towing cable because if it breaks you are not guaranteed a full refund… This was our experience and my opinion about the whole deal. Had my ears pierced with a second piercing at Claire’s in Tanger Mall Branson MO in March 2025. Never had any trouble with the first piercing years before. This time the left ear went great but the right ear, the gun slipped or something. Really hurt & she had to redo it. April talked me into buying the more expensive earrings to lessen problems if I was wearing them for long periods of time. I used the cleaner daily as instructed. However, the right one stayed sore. We went on a 6-week trip & I left earrings in but after returning decided I should take earrings out for the night, clean good again & out back in. Again left ear find but couldn’t get right ear in. Tried for two days & decided to go back to Claire’s & talk to April. She told me my ear piercing had knots in it & closed up. Said I would have to re-pierce again at full cost (over $100) or go to Tattoo & Piercing Artist to see if they could open up. She did not accept any responsibility for the right ear piercing that she messed up on…poor...

They did great at piercing my daughters ears. I really appreciate the rolling of eyes by the employee with the red lipstick and short hair. I guess she forgot the store is for kids too. Then knowing it was birthday gifts they put it on the same receipt so now only 1 child gets the free earrings for a year. It cost $150 to get my girls ears done. They didn't even go over care for afterward and seemed annoyed I was even asking. Just go to a tattoo place and save yourself the hassle....
