I have to say this was absolutely the worst shopping experience of my life. My fiancé and I were very excited to go to Giorgio's and find a suit for me to be married in because this store in particular was supposed to be the best place. Upon arriving, everyone was very friendly and quick to help us, but things started to go down hill soon after. In almost no time at all, our salesman David had picked out a suit for me without showing me any options or measuring me. After trying it on, he assured me that after alterations, the suit would fit perfectly. In about 20 minutes, I was in and out and had $200+ less in my pocket and all without a single measurement. Upon returning for my garments, it was very apparent that it did not fit at all. The shirt, jacket, and pants were all WAY too tight and the vest WAY too large. They assured me they would fix it and everything would be fine (again without taking a single measurement). The next couple of times I returned to the store the suit was not ready, even though they had promised them ready on the two different days that I came (a week apart). When I returned the fourth time, the clothes were still not ready (again even though they had told me to come that day). On the fifth visit, the clothes were ready but still didn't fit properly. I left thinking that I just needed to wear them a little bit and they would be fine, but never happened. Because they had sold me the entire ensemble as a suit (as opposed to individual pieces), I was not able to return it or get the appropriate amount of store credit. On what was now my sixth trip to the store, the once charming demeanor they exhibited in the beginning quickly became a flood of attitude from the woman that worked the front desk. They did however offer to exchange everything for the same style of suit as long as I paid an extra recutting fee. Begrudgingly, I accepted their offer. They picked out another set of clothes for me, and again sent me on my way without a single measurement. On the seventh visit to Giorgio's, they had literally JUST taken my clothes across the street to be altered after telling me they would have already been ready. With the eighth visit I had a small shred of hope that with all this work put into a few pieces of clothing, that they would finally be wearable. Unfortunately, the pants were still not right. They were still incredibly ill-fitting and looked like a formal pair of MC Hammer parachute pants. Once again, without a single measurement they took the clothes and both my salesman David, their tailor Pierre, and the woman behind the front desk (who's name I don't remember) assured me if would be fine. Last but not least on my ninth visit to the store, I couldn't even bring myself to come out of the dressing room because they had butchered the rest of my suit beyond fixing. Without hope of getting any money back, I couldn't bare the thought of continuing to work with this establishment so decided just to leave. Be warned that they may act nice and knowledgable, but they are the tricky used car salesmen of...
Read moreThe attendant at the front desk (middle aged lady, gray/dark hair) was not friendly what so ever. When my Fiance came to get his measurements for a suit, she was very dismissive and unhelpful. When we walked in the door she barely greeted us, let alone acknowledged us from the start and continued to have conversations with other employees instead of greeting us. When my Fiance finally got her attention and asked for alterations (mind you there were employees walking around with measurement tapes around their necks) the woman stated she couldn’t service him because “they don’t do measurements, then changed it and said they only do measurements for “their suits”. Sure….However, my Fiance had been to this store prior and received measurements for Prom without getting one of their suits. She basically then professionally told him to get lost and go to an alterations store and wasn’t going to give him any suggestions for an alternation store to go to until he pried into her a bit more. All of this could be true as far as their services, but her attitude was nasty and dismissive from the start. I sincerely hope this was not due to the color of our skin.
Edit: The response to this comment was also dismissive as well. I did not “feel” that we weren’t met with courtesy we were in fact “NOT” met with courtesy. All potential customers should be given attention as soon as they walk in the door, to be a business that has been open for 50 years I would assume you should know that. In my original comment I did not state the women involved didn’t give a suggestion, that was only after he questioned into her a bit more after she made the statement “You don’t know any alteration shops around here?" in a condescending tone. The suggestion was to a women’s alteration shop called Queens Alterations, and no directions were given either. I would hate to assume you are calling me a liar with your false “confirmation”. I seriously hope this shop can address things in better fashion since they have been in business for “50 years”. The woman was also not helping any customers at the moment, so where did you pull that from? I even stated in my original post that if this was to be true regarding the alterations, it could have been stated better and with a customer friendly attitude, that was the main fault of it...

My fiancée and I were in town visiting on a random weekend getaway. On our way to check into our hotel we drove by Giorgio Men’s Warehouse. And I just say “maybe we can look for my wedding suit there.. who knows .. maybe we’ll get lucky”
We call it luck, or whatever you want. Giogios will hook you up. From the moment I walked in the store I felt welcomed and like I was going to be taken care of.
Demell was awesome, and he hooked me up. I let him know what I was interested in, and a few things to keep in mind and boom. Showed me 1 suit and we knew it was it. Tried it on, and walked out, my fiancée gasped and said “damn babe” with a smile and I knew this was it!
As we were at the counter, he paired the perfect tie and pocket square with it.
Mind you I walked in on a random Saturday afternoon around 12-1pm and they have my suit altered and ready to go same day!
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Do yourself a favor and skip the big box stores! If you’re in the Chattanooga area or even passing through, get you a suit from these guys!
The price oh yeah .. it was fair. I didn’t feel like I was getting ripped off but also I didn’t get some cheap junk suit for $39 like you get from some online store. It’s a quality suit and cannot beat the price or service. I will be coming back to post photos of me in the suit since I didn’t get a chance to while I was there.
Thanks again stoked about my wedding even more now that this piece...
