Always used to love this place, great vibes, pretty chill. However, I tried to go to Jamminz last night for a stop on New Year's Eve. After I had gotten into the facility with no problems at all and was waiting to order my drink, a woman came up to me and asked if I had my ID on me. I thought this was pretty weird but nonetheless, i pulled out my ID and handed to her. Upon which she started fast walking towards the door. Alarmed and without my government issued identification, I started trying to look for the woman, wondering if she even actually worked there due to her unprofessionalism and how shady she was acting. I was able to find her and asked if I could have my ID back to which she retorted "No, I'm going to check this," and started walking the other way. To avoid being involved in a similar incident that happened to me a few months back in which my ID was stolen by an employee at a bar, I told her I was going to follow her. She rolled her eyes and proceeded to the bar while I handed her another form of ID, shocked that there was any issue. Immediately upon going behind the bar and handed off my belongings to a male bartender and begun bad talking me while I could still hear her, yelling about how I gave her attitude and how the man would have to deal with me because she "just couldn't." After this incident, I was escorted out of the bar. Once outside, I asked why I was being escorted out when I was about to buy a drink and had done nothing wrong. The man replied that I had attitude with the woman and had to leave due to this. I explained what had happened, how she ran off with my ID so I was alarmed, but he replied that she was just coming to him to check the ID, even thought she ran towards the entrance/exit of the facility originally. He had no response to that and just told me to leave. I highly suggest that this business reconsiders their hiring process. I had never seen that girl at Jamminz before and I don't know if she was a new hire, but this experience was terrible enough for me to decide to never come here again. While Jamminz used to be a place that I would recommend to everyone I knew visiting Clearwater, these friends will now be warned and urged to stay far away from this bar.
I would not recommend coming here if you are trying to have a good time with no drama as my experience with two of the employees exhibited that they seek out drama at the workplace when...
Read moreDont fall for the fake 5 star reviews. I gave this place one star because they actually had Hennessey and I had a few laughs watching the people get down. Lol My girl dragged me here so i gave it a shot. Music was not the best, dj was playing worn out radio music and then making it worse buy mixing it with house/techno/garbage half way through every song. Drinks were reasonably priced but the deal breaker was the rent a cop security. They didnt even pat me down when i walked in and seemed to be of no use. At around 1 am my friend was denied entry so i walked out to talk to him. I was immediately stoped at which point i handed over my bottle to the bouncer. After we spoke, one of the bouncers/rent a cop security guards pulled me to the side to tell me i have an attitude problem. I told him i had no such thing, his sidekick agreed i had an attitude, so i decided to take my lady and her friend and go spend our money elsewhere. It was weird to have a grown man telling me i have an attitude problem. I usually only have those typa convos with my lady, so for a grown man about 300 lbs to be telling me this was really disturbing. It was at that point i realized our safety was in the hands of two feminine male bouncers. In a day and age where people are being killed for no reason, mass shooting left and right, we must consider our own saftey and well being before we dump our time and money into something. If your looking for a good time on Clearwater Beach i would suggest somewhere other than this, its...
Read moreI rated Jamminz 1 Star, and I would rate it lower if I could.
Posted all along the bar’s walls are drink specials, especially one which says “All Spring Break $2 Budweiser and Bud Light”. Upon seeing this I decided I would have a few icy brews and stop in with my girlfriend. When I got there, the staff was pleasant for beers number 1 and 2. However, when the staff switched shifts, I realized how scummy some of their bartenders are.
They then charged me $5 for my 3rd drink and made it sound as if there wasn’t a sign behind me to back me up. I was jipped... they refused to give me my change. The scammer is a you a young brunette woman with a rose tattoo sleeve down her arm. I would assume she is skimming tips by keeping change, so she doesn’t have to split tips with her coworkers. I work in the service industry and if she steals a dollar a person, she may be taking in some serious cash in a bar like this. All in all, go get a six pack, enjoy Clearwater but don’t go to transient gypsy bars like “Jamminz”...
I really wish I could post a picture of the sign because I think just shows how much of a bold-faced liar the bartender was. I will be posting a similar review on trip advisor because it’s not the $3 that matters, it’s the blatant disrespect for someone else’s money. I’m from Kentucky, and we hate thieves & liars. I’d assume most other people do too. Just avoid this bar, head my words, and don’t go see...
