Worst restaurant experience ever. Now look, my partner and I have been to this Hooters several times before and the experience has been average (save for leaving the covers off the open walls even in 60°F weather when it's just a zip-up). The experience I had last time, however, was horrendous.
Getting to the restaurant, we were given a 30-minute wait which extended past that. When we were seated, we got a fantastic waitress named Kapri who was a diamond in the rough. She was kind and funny and just generally empathetic and wonderful. The food was an hour wait despite not many people, at which point we were all a little antsy and very upset that a 45-minute wait to get in came with another hour wait for wings and fries which could all be done pretty fast. When they came, we were all let down. All of our orders had something wrong with them. The fries were cold, like genuinely cold, not even room-temp, and one of our wings were far from fresh and were actually room-temp. The sauce for wings was not hot at all, and when one of us requested a hotter sauce, it never came. We got the orders fixed except for the sauce, and were maybe hoping for something to be taken off of the orders of food that had all been flawed thus far and required four separate replacements with almost two hours passing before being able to really eat, but no such luck. Kapri was amazing about it. But from what I've seen in other reviews, this Hooters clearly isn't interested in a proper apology beyond cooperate automated responses online. Absolutely unacceptable. Also, your servers mocked us thinking we couldn't hear, giggling at us. Disrespectful.
Whether this was due to re-opening after Covid-19's shutdown fiasco or not is little excuse. If you needed more time or more staff, you should have waited and made accomdations. This was abhorrent service and...

My fiancé had to track down our waitress after being sat for 20 minutes without even being greeted. Once she finally came over she immediately had an attitude and was short with us. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time since we had already had to wait so long for her to come to our table. I asked for 2 lemonades and she only brought one, so again my fiancé had to track someone down to get us the second one. My fiancé had ordered a Long Island when he asked someone for our waitress and they told him that the drink would be on the house because of us having had to wait so long but when we got the bill, the Long Island was on it. After waiting for our food for probably another 20-25 minutes it finally came out, but came out cold, most likely due to sitting for so long before she brought it to us. When she brought the food she didn’t bring any utensils and I had to ask for utensils twice before she brought them to us. We also asked for 2 sides of Ranch, she only brought one, and we were charged for 2. I spoke to a manager about our experience and he said he would do something with our check, but never did. My fiancé had to go back and talk to someone about the Long Island and the Ranch and only then were those things removed from the bill. Read moreAfter a sunny day on the beach, my girlfriends and I decided to get wings at hooters. When we walked in we were greeted and immediately brought to our table. When our waitress Desirae came she asked our for our drinks. She took my ID for my alcoholic beverage and I never received it. She said the bartenders had switched and they must have never made it. She was doing absolutely nothing but talking to other waitresses and she could have easily noticed she never brought the drink. She took our order and food came out and it was delicious. We have no complaints about the food it was excellent. However, Desirae was not. She lacked service etiquette and failed to inform us about all the up charges for ranch (we would have still gotten them but a heads up would have been nice). When the Bill came we asked her to split the bill 3 ways and she laughed in our faces and seemed annoyed. When she brought the check back we asked for a copy of the receipt and she told us she had thrown it away already. All 3 of us are waitresses. We know how easy it is to go reprint a receipt but it was too much of an inconvenience for her. She simply grabbed the crumbled up receipt from the trash and gave it back to us. Because we are all servers we are aware her hourly wage is little to none so we all tipped over 20% however, all I can say is I had never been treated so poorly.
