Emerald City Surf Shop — Local services in Coronado

A good friend had lost a custom-made orthopedic insert while trying on shoes in Emerald City the other day. She called the store and asked if anyone had turned it in but no had. She was very depressed as it was quite painful to walk without it as well as it being extremely expensive to replace. She went back to the store and asked again, a few days later, but after a quick look the clerk did not find it. I went in today after the fantastic classic car show to check. There were two clerks in the shop, Stefan and Taylor. I explained the situation and they looked in the returned items area, as well as the shoes along the wall, checking inside to see if it was there, but it wasn't. I was about to leave, but then they both went into the back area, I guess to check the shoes in inventory, and then they came back--they had found it! I was so delighted with both of them for taking the extra time to find something that was very important to my friend. Thank you Stefan...

EXTREMELY RUDE and seemed bothered when asked for help. Possibly the WORST retail experience that I have ever experienced. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! There was a T-Shirt that I was wanting to purchase though the size on the floor was not the size that I wear. So I looked at 2 different employees trying to ask for help, THEY BOTH LOOKED AT ME THEN COMPLETELY TURNED THEIR HEAD TO IGNORE ME! When I asked for help, the male with the silver hair and the brunnete at the register completely ignored me as if I was a ghost with the Male on his cellphone, and the brunette acting busy. UNBELIEVABLE! I WILL NEVER VISIT NOR PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND WILL SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ALL OF MY FRIENDS ON THE ISLAND. One star is too generous for this place. BUY ELSEWHERE, trust me....this place will absolutely ruin...

i was looking at longboards/cruisers when a scrawny employee with dirty blonde hair came up to me and asked if he could help me find anything and i told him that i was looking for cruisers around the same size as a regular sk8board deck and he just said "well you came to the right place", shrugged and walked away like?? are you not going to help me?? i dont have my board here for reference?? and the overall shop atmosphere was really stiff, quiet, judge-y and uncomfortable. thank god i was just visiting i would not...
