It’s unfortunate that the people that’s representing this facility in a real bad unprofessional manner my father is in there with multiple health elements, including kidney failure, and he has to deal with very unprofessional childish behavior, like retaliation, being vindictive being argumentative with him , he is very ill One of my concerns is How the doctor is prescribing his medication he’s on multiple high blood pressure high cholesterol Not only that it’s like they’re giving it to him all day every day so that mean he is tripling his doses of a medication that he only has to take once or either twice a day, which is causing my father, to have the jitters, irregular heartbeat, cold sweats it is terrible. If you have family that’s in there. You should really talk to them and make sure that they’re being treated fairly. There is a dark side to the medical field that people don’t speak about. there’s another gentleman in there that’s next-door to him that sits in his pee for an hour Very terrible. There’s a supervisor in there named Amy that is very rude. Very vindictive. She has authority to lead by example, but she doesn’t lead by example in a professional manner. Too prideful to admit when she’s wrong and she’s very argumentative she has to have the last word she likes to make My dad wait his medication to watch my father suffer, mentally emotionally and psychologically and that is evil And very unprofessional and unethical, the way she representing this nursing rehab rehabilitation I think when it comes to administration, they need to be more stern and actually reprimand anyone who’s conducting themselves in a unprofessional manner if that was being done, then we wouldn’t have issues like this so watch out for your loved ones everything that glitters isn’t gold, there’s always that one person who likes to use vulnerable patients as emotional punching bags and that supervisor Amy is one of them I’m speaking up for all the residents in there for the ones who can’t speak up for themselves as well. My father is very outspoken and he gets upset like everyone else so he may say things out of frustrations that I don’t agree with to whoever he’s talking to, but people who work here need to sit back and realize that these are the patients they’re already frustrated. The patients already don’t want to be there. The patients are already vulnerable so why not take the time and be prudent even when you disagree with the patient and just say you’re right or I’m sorry for the misunderstanding and walk away a lot of things can be resolved if you just simply just walk away but still continually genuinely do your job. To work in the medical field, you have to know how to walk in love and show unconditional forgiveness, and show unconditional understanding! If you don’t do your best to practice these characteristics on a daily basis then you’re not suitable for the position I can speak this way because I’m in the medical field myself So please question your loved ones and make sure they’re being treated right and make sure that their diet are right cause for when I see dietary doesn’t do a good job either! And cranberry please please don’t respond to me, saying how sorry you are Prove how sorry you are by actually reprimanding. The staff that is conducting themselves in a very unprofessional matter. The word sorry is an action word. - thanks so someone responded to me down below, but they already kicked my dad out. They made a lie and pretended like they spoke to me and sent him to the hospital. The caseworker in that facility had a personal vendetta Against my dad that’s terrible but what can you say hurt people...
Read moreMy brother is a resident of Cranberry Place.
I live out of state and am very concerned for him. I called him at 11:15 this morning - no one had been in to see him. He has been ringing his call button and has had no response from nurses. He has been in soiled clothes. And has not been gotten out of bed yet.
I tried twice calling the nursing station - no answer. Was put through to the nursing director, her mailbox is full so I cannot leave a message. Was then put through to the administrator and got her voicemail.
What do I do to get proper care - who do I call next?
So, after not reaching anyone yesterday, an administrator finally called me back hours later. She was not happy, was very condescending to both my brother and me. She did, however, say it would not happen again under her watch. The administrator told us there was an emergency and they were behind schedule. 3 hours is a long time to wait regardless of another emergency situation. She told my brother she would fire the employees responsible for the neglectful behavior - I was on speaker phone when she came to his room. My brother told her he wanted no one fired, he just wanted changed from soiled clothes in a more timely manner and wanted help cutting food and reaching food for his meals. She assured him she would make sure he was out of bed and dressed at breakfast. She assured him his calls to the nurses would be answered in a timely manner. She said she would personally come to his room in the morning.
Well, I called my brother this morning at 11:23 to be exact and he was still in bed and had been calling the nurses station to be changed and no one was answering his page. When I called the nurses station she told me she was not working yesterday and did not know of any concerns addressed yesterday and they had an emergency this morning that put them behind schedule.
Where was the administrator today? What kind of an emergency causes no answering of pages to the nurses and a patient not being able to get out of bed before noon, not once but two days in a row?
If this place is so understaffed, why are more patients being admitted? And why does the administrator take such a stand but does not follow through on her own assurances?
The therapists are wonderful. They are personable and helpful, very supportive and encouraging. Yesterday and today, they covered for the nurses to help my brother. They did so because when they came to my brother’s room for his therapy sessions, they saw he was still in bed and needed attending.
I’m not sure from here how to report his lack of care but thought if it is on the website, someone who can assist...
Read moreIt's not about me, it's for my wife. So far everything has gone wonderful. Everyone we have dealt with seems to go above and beyond for her. There is one minor gripe. Speech lady was in and said my wife could eat solid food and is still given disgusting pureed yuck. They said she never put a note in. The problem i have with it is, when my wife came in they were giving her solid food. Now all of a sudden it's baby food. Add on complaint, the wife has a wound vac that stopped working last night and was making noise all night and noone came to look at it until this afternoon. The only positive so far is the nurses and the nurses aides. They are wonderful. Here's yet another one, the didn't put her wound vac back together correctly and her wound was leaking every where. That could have caused her serious infection. Now because of what i call serious neglect she has a gaping hole in her abdomen they have to keep packing with gauze that causes her significant pain. Before this happened she was getting in and out of bed by herself, now she has to have help and walks very very slowly. The rating stars are going down. Check back later to see if there's anything else. Here's more, the wifes wound is suppose to be repacked every 8 hrs. They haven't done it since last night and it's now 4:10 pm the next day and noone has done it. She is on oxygen and the water bottle is bone dry. This place could care less about the peoples health. Update, they care so much about the peoples health that my wife is back in the hospital from SEVERE NEGLECT!!!!!!!! REFUSE TO LET YOUR LOVED ONE GO TO THIS SO CALLED CARE...
