I've lusted over a specific Rolex White Gold Daytona for many years and casually inquired with multiple individuals at various jewelry stores around the Metroplex beginning in mid-2023. I frequently received the well known "new-Rolex-buyer-attitude," particularly marked by that period of low supply and crazy secondary markets.
My entire Rolex AD experience changed when I randomly popped into Bachendorf's Galleria after a business lunch at the mall. Alessio showed me around and took my information for a waitlist, fully disclosing to me that this could be a months long process at best and a years long process at worst. As an avid watch collector, I also expressed interest in multiple non-Rolex watches, as well as some jewelry for my wife. Alessio assured me he could help with all and gave me his word that he would try hard to get me a Daytona.
Alessio delivered. He called approximately a month later, congratulated me, and informed me he had secured the exact watch I wanted. I scheduled a time to purchase, allowing my wife and kids could be present, and bought my first Rolex through Bachendorf's with Alessio.
I cannot speak more highly of Bachendorf's on one hand and Alessio on the other. I have been a relatively small-time customer in the store having made a couple non-Rolex purchases in the past few years. Alessio presented me with exactly how I would envision my first Rolex purchase experience to go. Up until now, my mind was negatively influenced by the internet forums on which members broadly communicated disdain for the Rolex brand becoming too exclusive for the normal guy, with only large purchase history clients considered for many models. Come to Bachendorf's and work with Alessio. This duo will absolutely restore your faith in how luxury watch purchases...
Read moreI came in to have a link taken of my jubilee bracelet and I didn't receive the professional treatment that is supposed to be a standard for Rolex. I have been to many other Rolex stores and they use gloves, as well as jewelry trays to handle/move your watch around. This person asks that I remove my watch and proceeds to just take it in hand without gloves and disappears to their customer restricted area. When I attempted to ask the people visible behind the glass service area, some woman with a flannel like button up just swings her hand in the air to motion brushing me off...Finally a floor manager comes out. I believe she is the manager, wearing a garnet or reddish blazer. Which leads to the best part of my experience, after they have taken my watch, she asks me if I know I am in Rolex, not Bachendorfs? For those of you attempting to buying a Rolex, you know how hard it is to get your grail watch. Bachendorfs will not help you in your journey. I visited them in 2015, setup a wish list. Never got a call, except for things I didn't need like... a women's Oyster for example. I was able to get a Rolex watch, but Bachendorfs wasn't apart of it. They just tell you that their manager will not allow certain watches to be requested, even though my wish list had suddenly dissapeared. What's the point of going to a Rolex store that dictates what models you can purchase? You should be able to at the very least request the watch that you want. They don't have confidence in filling your orders I guess... go look anywhere else. I had better luck being as a walk in at other Rolex than being on a list here. They don't think you belong in their store unless your wearing a 3 piece...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of the store since December 2013, consistently satisfied with their selection of watches. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when Lalit left the store, causing the relationship I had carefully built to crumble. Despite numerous follow-ups, it took an unacceptably long time to connect with a new representative.
Previously, I received a watch every 6-12 months as a long-standing client on their list, including brands other than Rolex. Recently, I was told that purchasing jewelry might increase my chances of getting the watch I wanted. This suggestion blatantly contradicts Rolex policies. When I challenged this, the representative quickly changed their tone and attempted to placate me with a different watch after a few days.
Today, I reminded them that I have been waiting for a Daytona for 10 years. Initially, they acknowledged my interest over the past year, but then stated they couldnât procure any and asked me not to push the matter.
This experience has profoundly diminished my respect for the store. It is clear that purchasing jewelry expedites access to Rolex watches, while those who donât are left waiting indefinitely. This practice is both unfair and disheartening, and it has severely tarnished my view of the store.
I am uncertain how the new manager, Gavin, will address these issues and restore the standards and trust that once defined this store.
P.S. I personally did not mention any names, but I hope they understand...
