I have really debated on sharing my experience given I have been going to and speaking so highly of this salon for some time now. I booked an appt for highlights with a stylist that had previously given me some amazing results. I do not get my hair dyed often if ever bleached and she was the first person to do this for me. Recently I had (it will not allow me to say ) and was looking to just do something nice for myself. So I booked days out for a Saturday and was called and informed the stylist I originally booked with would not be able to do my hair that day and they gave me the option to rebook another day or go with another stylist. I explained that I was attending an event that Monday and would rather not have to cancel. So they put me with a new stylist Joanne. She was kind and I showed her the inspo I had previously at this salon and even asked if there was a list of what the other stylist had used on me in the past. She said yes and told me she wasn’t sure what toner though. After the first process I wasn’t happy with it and contacted reception to let them know my concerns to see what I could do to achieve the color I wanted after already spending close to $200! They asked for photos and explained that it would be free of charge and her mentor would also be present to observe her through this next process. (No mentor was present)I come back in and show her more detailed photos of what I would like and ask if it’s achievable after the color my hair is now which felt more orange/yellow. She then asked her manager and explained to me that she could only do a partial of a partial for free and initially only did 25% the top of my scalp which needless to say made it worse and did not blend or even come close to what I showed or was trying to achieve the first time around. What’s funny is she asked to do a before and after of her results but never once asked for the after even though she took the before. Shows me she was unhappy even with her own results. I was so upset and embarrassed I told her I didn’t like it and felt as if I was at a loss I couldn’t afford to fix it so why speak up? After some consideration I called and asked to speak personally with the manger ( no one wants to be that person ) explaining and already feeling intimated that I feel I’ve been wronged in this process not even sure how she got my hair to this color in the first place trying to simply express my concerns while showing her my hair which speaks for itself. She handled the situation well only saying what I could do to fix it but not how bad it was or the uneven spots that were undeniable but unfortunately stated I would still have to pay to have the hair to be fixed on the 3rd time then asked me what could I afford I then told her I didn’t really have the money to go through the process again and how hesitant I was to let someone touch it again.. she then quoted me at $150 for a different stylist and explained how good she was. I worked hard and got the money up, showed up a few days later and met my saving grace. But there’s always a catch seems like. Get there and the amount of damage that had been done to my hair wasn’t fixable “apparently” now for $150 and that’s all I really had to spend. Ava asked me what was I okay with spending confused I looked at her telling her I had already been quoted 150 for the 3rd fix attempt on my hair. Almost in tears being presented with this while I’m in the chair already been reassured by the manager my hair would be fixed and the price would NOT change for the services or required to make this right, it did. By that point I realized it was no fault to the stylist Ava but management who wasn’t present that day. Ava is hands down the sweetest woman I’ve ever met and still made sure she was able to accommodate me within my means, I still had to pay more than I was quoted (another $200) but at that point I was so embarrassed and wearing a hat all the time I was willing to do anything to just fix my hair. So after about a total of $450 I was able to get what I came in for originally.

Absolutely love Unicorn Hair and Med Spa! This salon is so incredible—so full of magic and whimsy!!🦄💇🏼‍♀️👱🏻‍♀️✨💁🏼‍♀️ so great when working with clients and understanding their hair needs and past hair journey! The entire team is so kind and makes you feel right at home. The name in itself tells you the experience you’ll have here— feel like an absolute unicorn!! It’s a one-of-a-kind salon that gets the job done, has incredibly modest prices, while making sure all your needs are met over-and-beyond!! I am a mousy-brown brunette and I’ve had a hard time my entire life finding the right colorist, yet on Joan’s first try with my hair, she understood what I needed and how to get there! She totally understands exactly what you need, so, go to her, and make the best decision of real life! Cheers to being fabulously blonde! 🤗🎉🌞🙋🏼‍♀️💋👑🦄

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They will continue to up their prices without discussing it with you and then you are charged more every time after the service is completed at checkout. This happened several times to me. I would get fewer services such as getting highlights ever other visit only to have them increase the prices or add to the services I did get which would make my total higher and higher every time. I sent a message to rocky (the owner) and she stated that "my stylist can change and increase the price of a service at anytime as they see fit". She also sent me the price sheet which was a complete joke seeing as though the price can change at anytime so what is the point of a price sheet. As I had several communication with Rocky regarding the inconsistencies of the pricing and was told over and over that "the stylist can change the prices at anytime as they see fit". After not getting anywhere with management or staff and after they admitted to changing the prices and not informing me, I decided to do a charge back. After their investigation, even the credit card company ruled in our favor and we were refunded our money. This place is not about keeping clientele, they are about getting people in the door only to overcharge them and not tell them until it is time to checkout. GO ELSEWHERE AS YOU CAN FIND AN EVEN BETTER STYLIST THAT WILL NOT RIP YOU OFF (as I did) . DO NOT BE FOOLED BY ROCKY'S FRIENDLY DEMEANOR AS SHE IS ONLY ABOUT GETTING YOUR MONEY, SHE HAS NO INTEGRITY AND DOES NOT EVEN ENCOURAGE HONESTY WHEN IT COMES TO HER STYLISTS!! I ONLY WISH I WOULD HAVE LEARNED THIS...

I went in for their promotion of the NeoGen treatment and did the eyes and lips. I understand that one session is not enough to see results so I cannot say much on that right now. During the treatment, I expressed concern for the lines on the arch of my eyebrows. She suggested babytox and I took her advice and went ahead with it. The results of the babytox made the problem worse. A problem that was knocking down my confidence, made me feel even more uncomfortable in my own skin. I tried reaching out and letting the spa know that I was unhappy with the results. I texted them and I was given a dismissive reply. I emailed them but no response. Apparently, it was a ‘no-reply’ email. Lastly, I decided to DM them on instagram, and the owner (I believe) simply asked for my name to check on it, but never replied back anymore after that, even when I wrote her again to check in, but she left me on ‘seen’. I am very disappointed in how I was treated when I tried to express my dissatisfaction, and I even sent images to show the results. I guess they only want you as a customer as long as you don’t complain. The only reason I gave them 2 stars and not one, is because the technician was actually very sweet, but the company should have tried to correct her mistake, and...
