I was a member of this gym before I cancelled because of the experience and treatment that my girlfriend received from Gina Watts and Jared Nobles. My girlfriend lives with me here in Dallas Thursday through Sundays and was looking for a place to workout during these days. She originally took a tour with me at the Downtown location but unfortunately couldn’t use her 7 day pass due to the location closing down for the week because of a snow storm. She walked into the Uptown Location today explaining she was just working out for the weekend. What she meant by this was that she was going to be working out on the weekends. I guess Gina Watts took this as her never returning and signing up for a membership. Well, She’s not going to sign up for something without trying it first, but they refused to let us do this. After explaining this to Jared Nobles he said well she didn’t want a tour (which she had already got one at the downtown location) or sign up, so shes not a prospect for us. That is not how you potentially gain future Prospects. He acts like he is going to lose sleep by allowing someone to try out before buying. Shocking. I explained that I will be canceling due to the service received and no retention effort was given. For someone that is so worried about signing people up, shouldn’t you think they should also be worried about keeping current members. So instead of having 2 members on memberships, you have lost 2. I was then having a conversation with my girlfriend about why they wouldn’t give a 7 day pass to her and Gina was actively personally training someone and took the time to come over and explain to me why she did what she did and justified her actions. I’m sorry, if I paid for a personal training session I wouldn’t want my trainer taking time out of what I paid for to get into it with someone having a conversation that they are not a part of. Overall they treated us like we were never going to be members and they are correct because of the level of service given. I spoke personally with Arianna the Assistant Manager at the Downtown Location after experiencing this and she apologized to me and told me they were out line for this and offered to take care of me. It shouldn’t take someone else at a different location to clean up your mess...
Read moreFor six-years, I was a Trophy Fitness member but canceled membership because of my job relocation. Overall, Trophy Fitness helps you find what motivates you to keep coming back, develop a mind-set to drive you further, stay healthy and fit, and, most important believe in yourself. I have and would again highly recommend Trophy Fitness whether you are a novice, fitness buff or athlete. The gym is easy to use, good price with a friendly and courteous staff. I was routinely greeted by the desk staff (especially Lauren, Medric, Brandon, Pilar, Jarrett) when I arrived and they wished me a pleasant day and thanked me as I departed. If you want support, you get it. If you want to be in a zone with your headphones and left alone, you can have that equally. Regardless of the hour, I generally was able to find equipment open and available, clean and operational. If I had to wait, my fellow gym rats were open-friendly to share the equipment. The Uptown location was recently expanded with types of fitness equipment and programs to reflect the current trends in fitness and exercise science. The expansion has enough room to work out efficiently and even incorporate your own personal exercise preference.
Each facility location is particularly well maintained and has varieties of equipment ranging from exercise machines, free weights, battle ropes, rowing machines to gymnastic rings. The continuous daily onsite cleaning staff is exceptional - keeping equipment and the overall facility sterile and fresh-smell. There are also antibacterial wipes for clientele to clean up equipment after working up a sweat. They have a staff of knowledgeable and gregarious personal trainers for individual or group training session to help customers plan fitness programs and meet goals. The sessions are affordable and they don't nickel-and-dime you for minor services. Equally, there are nutrition products and liquids to give you vitality and enthusiasm to do an extra set. All the facilities have locker rooms, showers, saunas, as well as complimentary towels and shower products to make your fitness session comfortable. There is ample free and secure parking--covered or on-the-street--in/around each facility. The atmosphere at Trophy Fitness is great,...
Read moreTrophy Uptown is probably the best gym in the Dallas area, and would give any gym in the entire DFW metroplex a run for their money.
There’s been a weird trend in gym culture over the past few years where some members tend to be more egotistical, rude, and condescending. Some film themselves and post others on social media without respecting their privacy. That culture is nonexistent at Trophy. Everyone from the staff down to all the members are always cool, calm, and collected. People are simultaneously respectful and all about their business. If you spend enough time there, you’re almost guaranteed to make a friend just because it really feels like a community.
The gym itself is a little smaller than others so it can be a little packed during peak hours, but every square inch is maximized to its full potential. Trophy not only has all the equipment you need, but the best equipment too. Every time I think it can’t get better, I see new equipment replacing old ones, new layouts of the area to make the space look fresh and modern, and any time a machine is broken it is fixed very quickly. The locker rooms are always clean and the sauna is awesome too. I find it hard to believe I’ll ever voluntarily leave this place as long as I’m in the Dallas area.
The only constructive criticism I would give is that more often than not, there are limited to no towels available (at least in the men’s room). I find myself frequently asking the front staff for more towels since there are none left. It pains me to see my fellow bros in the locker room, naked and afraid, wandering without purpose and direction in life. Please help them get back on...
