During our recent trip to Deadwood, South Dakota, we ventured into the historic town to explore and collect some souvenirs. However, our experience took an unfortunate turn when we encountered the Deadwood Trading Post, which left us feeling disheartened and uncomfortable.

What disappointed us most was the prominent display of merchandise outside the store, featuring foul language and negative comments targeting certain political figures. It was disheartening to see this establishment embracing a politically charged stance, especially in a town known for its rich history and charm. We believe that businesses, particularly those in a vibrant tourist destination like Deadwood, should strive to create a welcoming atmosphere that caters to a diverse range of visitors, irrespective of their political beliefs.

We firmly believe that American merchants have the potential to set a higher standard and uphold the values of inclusivity and respect. After all, it is the support of customers from all walks of life that sustains their businesses. In this instance, it felt as though the Deadwood Trading Post may be prioritizing a specific clientele over the collective support of all potential visitors.

BEST Gift Shop in Deadwood!!! They have hundreds of Shirt designs and they can print them for you right there and then, it took maybe 5 minutes for them to print 2 shirts front and back. Pricing is about the same as the other shops but with the custom design, it allows you to pick whatever color & fabric of shirt u want with whatever design you want.
