Ichi Teriyaki is conveniently close to Trader Joe’s in Federal Way. The restaurant can seat about 32 people max. When you first walk in, you need to head to the front counter and order the food and pay first. There was no greeting, and when ordering a plate of chicken teriyaki from the male server, I had to repeat it a couple of times. The dish alone is $14.12, including the tax and tips. While seated and waiting for my meal, I saw another customer go up to the counter and get himself a bowl of soup. I assumed this was free and wish the server had mentioned something when I placed my order. I know water from the coke machine is free but unsure of the hot tea. I should have asked. My chicken teriyaki came on a platter. It is huge. I ate 3/4 of the way, and I was full. So no greeting, no mention of the free stuff, and no checking on me how the food tasted. No big deal. I'm just laying it out there because another teriyaki restaurant I've been to does all of that. So, due to the size of the plate and the atmosphere, this place deserves four stars from me.

Our first visit went well, had some good potstickers and teryaki pork. Tonight however was not a great experience. When we got home we realized that our order (3 teriyaki meats) was in fact only 2, neither of which had any sauce or seasoning. So we got some rice and dry/plain cooked chicken and beef. I tried to call back to inform them and nobody picked up. I don't know if we will come back for a third time or not.

Yooo! I’ve eaten a ton of teriyaki in my day. I’m from Seattle-it’s everywhere so I try different spots all the time. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki with Fried Rice and two Egg Rolls. The guy at the counter wasn’t rude but he wasn’t friendly either. The fried rice was bland, no flavor and my chicken was dry. It’s the worst teriyaki I’ve ever had. For real. I eat two bites and threw it away. The egg rolls were good.

If this is the "Best Teriyaki in Town!" I am afraid to try the worst Teriyaki in Town! We ordered take out (should have opened the box before leaving). We ordered Chicken & Short Ribs, chicken was O.K. Ribs? What Ribs? There were paper thin and 1/2" wide with mostly fat and very dry. Dry snow ball rice, the Vegetable Fried rice was so oily! and it was frozen diced carrots & peas with canned corn! No onion or Cabbage!, (which is traditionally used in Fried Rice) The 2 egg rolls we received were very soft and doughy taste like they were deep fried in oil that had been sitting there for weeks. Totally disappointed , we spend $25 and will never go back again. SafeWay's Chinese Fast food is better and alot cheaper. I am giving it 2 star only because the salad dressing was the best part of our meal.and lettuce was fresh and crispy. Thank you , not...

This is my favorite teriyaki place in the area. I said in a yelp review about 2 yrs ago that the lady who is the cashier can seem unfriendly, but she's really sweet. I think she's shy and her English is limited. She always smiles at me when i come in. I think her and her husband are the owners. I like to support local businesses, especially if they treat me well and provide quality food.

The spicy chicken is my favorite - always hot and has lots of REAL char grilledflavor. I also LOVE their salad dressing they make. If i spoke her language id ask her for the ingredients lol. Their gyoza are always excellent and made you order so be warned -they will be hot and burn your mouth if u don't let them cool for a minute.

The decor is lacking but i don't come here to look at the walls, i come to eat quality teriyaki for...
