Fudge Shoppe of the Smokies — Local services in Gatlinburg

Always made it a point to stop at this fudge shop every time in Gatlinburg but never again. As I'm seeing in other reviews, the fudge is not the problem. It's the management. Very bad customer service. Call the man to make sure what time they close and made sure I was just about there at that time but he decided to close early. Last time we stopped there it seemed like the man making the product had an attitude. Oh well his neighbor just up the street has fudge as well and it's just as tasty. He made $80 off of me last night because he stayed open till the listed closing time even though it was slowing down so from this point on I will always buy my fudge from them. Owners such a big shot and rich now that he's not all that worried about that one or two customers but like I said after reading all these reviews I think he's missing out on a little more money than he thinks he is. If I could I would rate it 0, maybe even -1!!!! We weren’t even allowed to buy the fudge because we were taking “too” long (there was 5 of us who all wanted to have a sample). I would understand if there were other people behind us, but there was NO ONE there (and I don’t blame them)! 4/5 of us were children but all of us were disrespected. All the fudge we were allowed to taste test, tasted the same. The fudge was mediocre and made worse by the horrible customer service. If you chose to go here because it’s convenient walk a little bit more down the street to Kilwins that not only knows how to make good fudge but also knows how to treat people decently. I've been buying fudge from these people for 15 years. Never had any problem.they are the only fudge Shoppe in gatlinburg area who still make fudge the old fashioned was,its by far better than any fudge you can buy anywhere in this country.the people that work there are very nice and helpful,very clean. The young lady who claimed to have seen bugs and other things, you just mad cause they wouldn't let you stand there and keep getting free samples, I think after eating a half pound of free fudge you could buy some or leave.you people who think you are supposed to be treated special and get things for free,you want hurt their business by crying to everyone like a baby.
