This is absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had in a business - anywhere! I went into the store to buy some water. The young man who was my cashier seemed nice. I forgot to use my Walgreens card for the discount. He agreed to cancel the transaction and start over. At that point, I had already handed him a $20 bill. He had placed the change on the counter. Any store video.shows I did NOT touch any of the money. My new total was $3.73. He seemed very confused about the change I was supposed to get. When I told him that it was $16.27, the manager went crazy. I was so stunned and told her to forget the sale and to just give me my 20 back. She grabbed the money that the young man had put on the counter and demanded that I leave. I told her that I wanted my 20 dollars. She said No! I called the police because she and Walgreens were stealing my money. She grabbed a 20 and demanded I leave. I told the police which were on the line that she had finally returned my money and that I was leaving the store. I was told by the police that an officer was on the way and that I needed to stay where I was. The manager came out and yelled my name - which I had given her earlier - right there in front of the store. She demanded several times that I leave. I replied that the police had told me to stay where I was so I was going to do so. When the officer arrived, I told my simple story and left. Only God knows what lies she told. I just hope Walgreens corporate office watches the store footage to see how the monetary transaction was handled. Thank God I never touched any of the money which the young man has placed on the counter. It kept her and her store from...
Read more1st let me say that I have been a TN resident my entire life, so I am not a tourist in this town, nor am I ignorant of the laws in this state concerning the purchase of beer or liquor as I do this frequently.
So....I and my 2 sisters enter the store and I was planning to make a beer purchase. I get to the register and begin to pay after I was carded and then my sisters stepped in line behind me with their items to purchase (none related to alcohol, although they are both of age) and we started speaking to each other and the checker then ask if we were together and I said yes, but their purchase is separate and he wanted to card them. My youngest sister who is 25 did not have her ID (because her beer cooler was full!) and he refused to sell to me unless she produced and ID and proceeded to tell me this was TN state law.
I then proceeded to take my money back from his hand and this Walgreens lost 2 sales that day and will no longer ever get my business! Sad part is that we had 5 rooms rented right up the street and all of which purchase beer and had in the past and we will definitely take our business somewhere else for sure!
High prices and rude customer...
Read moreWent here during summer vacation a few years ago. I didn't want to pay for parking, so a family member dropped my niece and I off to grab a few items.
This particular Walgreens was a mad house. There were long lines at ALL of the registers, several items were sold out, stuff was everywhere, floors and carpet needed some cleaning, prices were inflated, and I saw a worker (maybe stocker) stressing out in one of the aisles just because a customer asked him for help to find a certain product.
While waiting in line, there was a commotion going on near the front with a few customers and officers. It almost got bad to the point where I was going to leave my shopping basket and walk out. It calmed down once the officers took them outside and left.
If you HAVE to shop at this Walgreens and the lines are very long, get a family member or friend to wait in line with a shopping cart or basket while you grab a few items and place them in the cart/basket. The lines were soooo long when we were there, they wrapped around the aisles. It was nuts! I've never seen anything like that at any other Walgreens that I have shopped at...
