Today is my first experience with this store. Was excited to find a consignment store in Glenwood & called as I wanted to leave 8 pair really nice jeans. However, she is absolutely the rudest person I’ve talked to in a very long time, so I decided not to ruin my day and left the jeans at Defiance Thrift shop. I would’ve been there 15 minutes past her deadline for excepting things for the day. Decent stuff, friendly staff. The lady told me certain items were 50 percent off. I went ahead and got a bunch of stuff that was on sale, she gave me the half off price at checkout, but then ended up charging me the full price later on my card which is very unprofessional and unlawful? Did she think I was not going to notice? I would not of mind paying the full price, however why scam people by misleading them. I will not be visiting this establishment again after this experience. Rude staff and poor selection. I have stopped by a couple times as I am an avid thrifter/second hand buyer. Their selection is okay but I can not emphasize enough how rude the staff is. They are patronizing and demeaning. Once I mentioned I had some stuff I was interested in consigning they were very aggressive and told me they only accepted clothes on hangers and could not give me price estimates. I do not understand how they still have business. There are a lot of other great vintage and second hand stores in glenwood I would highly recommend before...
