I was very disappointed with my trip on the Mazel Tov. The crew was extremely nice. I enjoyed visiting with both Kelle and Clint. After that it went downhill. The boat was advertised as having AC and I even double checked after booking. The generator had gone out last year and instead of fixing it they installed an inverter which ran the AC for about the first 30 minutes before the batteries went dead. The gear was well maintained but they never maned the lines after putting them out for 8 hours. We had one hit at which time the first-mate was in the head and the captain was at the helm. The captain then criticized the first mate in front of us for not having the clicker on the reel. For 8 hours and only one bite, they only changed one lure and never adjusted lines after putting them in the water. Through most of the trip the two visited on the bridge. Very disappointed. Our guide thought we were four hours when we booked six. We started off catching fish and then the captain left that spot when they were still biting. We spent the next 45 minutes catching probably enough bait for him the rest of the week because he only had a few pieces. My husband and brother in law have been on numerous charters and never have they had to catch bait. Then we spent a short time in another spot and then about 30 - 40 minutes bringing in lines and heading what I thought was going to be to another location. Turns out they were headed in. We then had to prove we booked 6 hours with them blaming the company, when it turns out it was the captains wife's fault. So the majority of our $1,200 fishing charter was wasted time. I initially asked for a price quote for 7 to 8 fishers to do a private charter. They quoted 875$+tax Then at the booking I said we would only be 6, the price stayed the same. But ultimately someone decided to just accompany on the boat. Assuming that we had booked a private charter and that there was no price difference in the quote for 8 people and 6 people, there should not have been any problem. But halfway through the cruise they tell us it is an extra 93$ for the 7th person. First of all i can not see how they can justify such a price difference since the gaz consumption is the same, they didn t offer any drinks or food on the boat anyways. Secondly the 93$ should have been deducted from the initial price quote if we had been only 6 passengers. I would not recommend an untrustworthy agency. Try...
