My family (4 adults) did the private circle island tour with Austin. We had a great time! We had previously gone to Kualoa Ranch so we skipped this spot and visited another location instead. We got to see the Honolulu and Pali lookouts (beautiful views of different parts of Oahu); go to the coffee farm and macadamia nut farm, and got to taste free samples; the Dole plantation, the Byodo-In temple (he provided us with snacks to feed the Koi’s and birds), and went to a secluded beach and got to see a bunch of sea turtles. We had the opportunity to snorkel with them but the turtles were right along the shore so you didn’t need to snorkel to see them. Austin suggested lunch from a local vendor (Tsue’s farm), which we enjoyed! There were plenty of picnic tables with shade to sit and enjoy lunch. We also got to feed one of their pet turtles, Georgie. Austin also gave us ladies Plumerias (native Hawaiian flowers) and we all got necklaces as souvenirs. We got to take as long as we needed at each spot and never felt rushed. We appreciated having the vehicle all to ourselves. Overall, we had a wonderful time experience and definitely recommend booking with Hawaii Pacific Adventures, a small local business! I’d suggest booking at the beginning of your trip so that you get a scope of the island and then have a better idea of where you want to spend more time/revisit. Thanks, Austin!

If you want to experience more than the city vibes of Waikiki, Hawaii Pacific Adventures is the tour guide group to choose. Carly from HPA helped me see a different POV on the island and its beauty. With HPA, it’s really “choose your own adventure.” There is so much to do but HPA gives you choices, but to make the most of your trip, I recommend mapping out a little bit of it beforehand. Throughout the tour, my mom and I got much backstory on the island as well as little gems of information from Carly. HPA is super small but it is mighty from their ability to host private tours to seemingly larger groups, too. They also have great manners and make you feel a part of the island culture by bringing you a necklace and doughnuts from Leonard’s Bakery. The drive and tour itself were great. Carly’s knowledge of the island was obvious and I would go as far to say that the drive itself was probably my favorite part since you get to see parts of the island that you can’t see as easily. I appreciate Carly’s professionalism with booking our tour, the safe driving, and informative tour.

THIS WAS HANDS DOWN THE BEST TOUR MONEY CAN BUY!! From start to finish, Austin was incredible. He was knowledgable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the history and culture of Hawaii. We learned so many fun facts throughout the day and he was extremely flexible about what we wanted to do to make the most of the tour. His positive energy made the experience even more enjoyable, he was always offering to take photos of our family without us having to ask which was super appreciated. The itinerary was perfectly timed and well organized where we managed to beat the crowds at popular spots. Also, Austin took us to some local spots that were hidden gems of Hawaii. Every part of the day was perfect from the lookouts to snorkeling with the turtles to going to the different farms. If you are considering booking a tour, this is the one to book, not only is it a private and personalized tour, but you are also supporting a local business. Could not recommend enough!!
