Captain Tony and the Waikiki Sailing Tours was the best experience my husband and I had in Waikiki! The captain is phenomenal and the sailboat is absolutely beautiful. The captain is extremely knowledgeable and friendly - he genuinely loved sharing the history and stories of the monuments and buildings we sailed by along the way. My husband and I went on the sunset sailing tour as part of our honeymoon and we are beyond words in how joyful we are that we went on Tony’s Waikiki Sailing Tour. It was intimate with only one other couple on the sailboat with us and we were able to enjoy a nice bottle of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio we brought while feeling the breeze from the sails and watching the most beautiful sunset take place before our eyes. Not only was our sailing experience breathtaking, our captain, Tony, is the best photographer. I was so worried my husband and I had not taken as many pictures I had wanted during our honeymoon before the tour, but right when we arrived our captain asked us if we wanted to have some epic pictures taken with the exact shot list he had in mind. I didn’t even have to ask. He told us where to stand or sit and took them all, along with videos, which he airdropped to us right after. My snorkeling trip with Captain Tony and Victoria was SPECTACULAR! I opted for the 7am Turtle snorkeling and sailing tour. Because his sailboat is docked in the nearest harbor to Turtle Canyon we were the first boat there in the morning and first in the water. I can not emphasis enough how key this point is that Tony will get you out on the water and snorkeling before anyone else. I was able to swim and see the turtles and fish without the hassle of all of the other boats that show up later in the morning, which is worth every penny I spent and some!! Victoria was an amazing guide in the water showing me around and describing the various turtle species and fish around us. Then after I was finished snorkeling, Tony hoisted the sail and we sailed carefree for almost 90 minutes down around Diamondhead enjoying the breeze and beautiful views (and he even let me sail the boat for a short stint!). Along the way Tony shared his vast knowledge of the history of the islands and was an overall great host. If you are looking for a more intimate experience (I believe Tony limits his tours to up to 6 people max) and a great sailing experience I can not recommend Tony's tour enough. Despite some confusion on the actual meeting point (address given is different from instructions sent by travel agent)… this turned out to be a great excursion.

We arrived to the actual boat slip at the marina (because we didn’t read for detail!) when we should’ve met the boat/crew at the beach. The crew offered to let us ride with them to the beach instead of pay for another Uber to get us to the correct meeting location.

Once we got all the other passengers loaded and briefed we sailed over to the snorkeling spot. The water was sooooo choppy and several people ‘fed the fishes,’ one before we even got off the catamaran to snorkel. The crew members stayed very aware of that person’s condition and tried to help as much as possible. One crew member realized that the person wasn’t getting any better and looked to be dehydrated. We ended up cutting our trip short due to that person being sick.

Before leaving, we had about 45 minutes to snorkel. We saw the gorgeous reef below us, LOTS of different kinds of fish, and a couple sea turtles. They were beautiful and it would have been more than amazing to see more than we did — but we can’t control Mother Nature!

It was a great experience with a great captain and crew! I would definitely recommend this excursion...
