Replay Vintage Goods — Local services in Houston

Me and my boyfriend have been in this shop a couple of times to browse around and they seem to have a decent collection of vintage items despite it being a cramped small store. We decided to bring in some friends to share this store as they love vintage clothing and collectibles and we thought we would bring this little shop some business.

There is an individual that works in the store I believe his name is Mike, decided to ask my boyfriend to place his backpack near the counter and so my boyfriend did just that. We continued to look around while waiting for our friends to do their shopping. As we were leaving the store clerk confronted my boyfriend and asked if he had taken clothing from a store down the street and if he could look through his bag. The bag was already open, because he already looked through it. My boyfriend could have purchased those clothes and opted to have them in his bag instead of taking plastic or he could have stole them, regardless I understand that stealing is wrong and that the store owner should be upset if the items were from his store but they were not. The store owner proceeded to take the items and escort my boyfriend out of the store. Not like a normal person .... no ... the shop owner was cussing out my boyfriend and head-butted him while they were on the sidewalk outside of the store while still screaming obscene things. Then as my boyfriend was trying to get in my car to leave the store clerk shoved him and told him if he sees my boyfriend on 19th he will call the cops.There was another lady in the store that leaned in the window and flipped us off as we were pulling out to leave. The items were not from Replay they were from another store. Still this clerk chose to use extremely vulgar language and tried to beat down my boyfriend on the sidewalk outside the store after he already had the items. I think my boyfriend handled the situation well the only thing he said to the store owner was that he will never come back and kept his hands by his sides. He did not lay hands on the clerk he did not cuss back. I will never shop in this store again nor will I ever suggest or bring anyone to shop in this store. Head my warning. If you take a bag in this shop they will go through it and if you have anything that may belong to you or not they will go crazy on you. There have been several reviews about this clerk going crazy on customers and I can not believe he has been getting away with this. YOU SHOULD NOT LAY HANDS ON ANYONE!!! This has to be the best vintage shop in all of Houston, if not Texas. I have been shopping here for awhile and I always find something amazing. An After Six Tuxedo Jacket or a crazy shirt for that special event can be found for a great price. This is vintage not resale so items are not given away, but once you become a customer they understand what you want or collect and will save items just for you. I collect vintage jackets and they always keep me in mind while searching the city, state, and country for topnotch items for the shop. This is nothing like the old store, this place has charm, and a fresh air to it that never existed before the current owner took over. The success of Replay on 19th is based on integrity and honesty. I can’t wait to check out their new shop, The Place Upstairs in order to find that something that pushes me over the edge. LOVE ME...

This is the BEST vintage shop on earth. I am a vintage addict and this is my favorite place to shop. they have a vast array of men & womens clothing and accessories at a variety of prices. They also have a huge selection of home decor, toys, kitsch and kooky items. Their merchandise is very well laid out, easily accessible, is in excellent vintage condition and priced very fairly. The owners are so kind and helpful and they really know their vintage and take great care of it and all their customers. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough.
