The 2 block part of Houston, that proudly features The Continental Club as its centerpiece, is an exciting part of the city called Mid Main. Within those 2 blocks, there are several live music venues, unique retail shops, delicious eateries & lively watering holes. There's even a hair salon & barbershop that have the most incredible retro vibe, Big Kat's & Kat's Meow. Really nice bar. The bartender and staff were genuine. The bartender isnt shady like the one's at Alley Kat bar. My night was kinda boring at Alley Kat after getting ripped off by the ratchet drunk bartender and watching so many women walk around on they heels like baby deers, and not seeing no nice looking men. I got pissed off and left. But I still wanted to enjoy my Friday night I wasn't ready to go home yet so I walked out and discovered this cool ass bar next door. The bartender made great reasonably priced drinks. The place it self was decorated really nice, I love the stringed lights and there is a large amount of seating. Also I saw nice looking straight guys here, (no shade or offense to the gays). The patio area was really nice. Also there's a game room also. This is a cool place. I look forward...

From what I could see, it looks like a nicely decorated bar but a major ripoff. We attended a show & there was no line outside. Paid our $20 each (4 of us) to get in and stepped just inside the door. So crowded you couldn't move. We were inside maybe 60seconds and decided it was over capacity. Turned around, took 2steps (literally) to get back outside and told the doorman that we'd pass on tonight and very politely requested our money back. He laughed and said all sales final (even though we had been inside less than a minute and less than 4ft from him). This was very shortsighted of the Continental as they got our $80 but they'll never get money from all the future shows we would have attended.
