We have been visiting the downtown area each weekend to enjoy what our town has to offer and to support our local retailers. This has been fun and entertaining to say the least. We have found some very interesting stores and Winnie and Mo's is the latest.
We had gone there one other time but decided that we would go back and check things out and see if we could find something that we would be interesting in purchasing.
The layout of the store is very nice and even if it kind of crowded there is a nook that you can flow around and get out the way of other. But most of the time it's not crowded at all.
When we first walked in there was a little section that had some mystery books, meaning that the covers was covered with brown wrapping that only gave a brief description of what the book was about but not the title or the author. That was a little interesting and we brought one.
The store also has a little tea and coffee bar which has a good selection of teas, coffee and some pastries. The herbal tea I had was delightful.
There is a play area for the kids and clean bathroom to use if needed. I have included some pictures that document the rest of the store. The young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful to all that came in. The also have a newsletter that if you give them a email address they will send you a weekly news letter.
A great option for the downtown area and support our...
Read more(Meant to post this months ago when I actually visited. ) One of my favorite parts of traveling is going to small locally owned bookstores. (Support local business!!) I happened to hear about Winnie & Mo's on a NPR broadcast, and since I was coming to Idaho Falls anyway, I said I'm making a point of coming here!
I found a very welcoming little bookstore with a coffee shop as part of the cash wrap and a wide selection of different types of books I might expect in a much larger store. One of the owners was working both the cash register and the coffee area, and handling both with what looked like ease, but I'm sure was a lot of effort. They were super friendly and took time to chat with everyone who came in while I was there. If I every come back to Idaho Falls, I'm definingly going to...
Read moreThis bookstore is a dream! Both of the owners are amazing and have been so welcoming each time I've been in. The environment is cozy, you feel like you can browse for as long as you like, and has a super cute and fun "treehouse" for the kids! My son (4 y/o) loves to hang out up there with a book while I look. I just picked up 5 books and I can't wait to go back. ❤ Picks include the 4 books I got for myself, the 2 graphic novels I got myself, books I've added to my TBR list, a gorgeous Wheel of Time coffee table book at the store, and my son during a story time activity and reading in...
