Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Jackson Township

I’d like to say firstly that our waitress Kenzie was pleasant and she was definitely not part of the issue. On Wednesday April 5th we went here for the 8th birthday of a friends child and had about 20 people in our party. The mother facilitating the party called in several hours in advance to ensure they would have 20 seats available for a birthday gathering. The restaurant confirmed they would, however when we arrived they had 3 separate booths available for us which separated the party and didn’t allow the child to celebrate with every one. In the section we were in there were several tables between booths against the back wall that could have easily facilitated our entire party, however there was already a couple seated in one of the booths. This was a busy night and I understand that things happen however if you’ve been informed hours in advance that table grouping should have absolutely been sat aside for the larger party as there were plenty of other single booths available the couple could have taken. When attempting to sort out this incredibly frustrating situation, the father of the child was told by a male waiter to “just deal with it” which is completely unacceptable in the service industry. We decided to eat separately, but at the end of our meal we asked for the manager to let her know how disappointing it was, and how much it affected the child’s birthday. Brittany came out to speak with us and after explaining the situation instead of offering any sort of compensation she gave us an apology with the excuse of not being able to move tables around as it created a fire hazard. I do understand safety regulations however the booth we were sitting at had a table moved to the end of it to accommodate the last couple members of our party so the apology definitely fell flat because of this and the lack of compensation. She definitely could have at least given a discount to the birthday girls parents or perhaps even a complimentary dessert. Though all of this was very frustrating, what really but the nail in the coffin was that the table behind us also had a birthday and when the staff came out to sing/clap for them they brought a saddle for the birthday man (not boy) to sit on. This was upsetting for the birthday girl because she did not get a saddle to sit on had to watch some one else receive special treatment when she not only didn’t receive the same but also didn’t get to sit with her family. Overall this experience was incredibly disappointing and we were not treated as if we were there to spend the several hundred dollars we spent with this business as a group. I understand that nothing can really be done about this now as we’ve already paid our bills and left, however I feel the need to post this as a word of caution to any one else who may decide to come here with a larger party, for a birthday, or just generally doesn’t handle being treated...

Out waiter was so sweet but the food was trash!

First they brought out everyone drinks but didn’t tell me my sprite was on the table also we thought it was water because two ppl ordered margaritas! So it just sat there until my fience sipped it and said it’s not water!

The waiter replaced it but after 30 mins went by we ordered our food and the friend pickles came out (2 orders) and then placed our order for food!

20 mins into eating the pickles I got EXTREMELY SICK! I was in the restroom for the duration of the visit! I was throwing up and had bad digestive issues! I got light headed and passed out in the restroom!

My fience and best friend came in the restroom to help me and got me water! I was able to go bk to my seat but when I went back to our booth everyone food was wrong and cold!

The manger had to comp our bill and remake my best friend and her sisters food to go! We immediately left and i went to the hospital! I had food poisoning! Im Bariatric and food process fast for me and my body was going into shock!

Later that day I called my best friend to let her know and she stated “her and her sister was sick and had really bad diarrhea, and their stomach was cramping and they were throwing up” I told her I had food poisoning and I told her if it gets worse to go to the hospital. And to call the restaurant and let them know

She called the restaurant and we’re still waiting to hear back from the general manager. The manger there that night said he knows the food isn’t very warm because they was very busy! That is no excuse! How 4 out of 5 ppl got sick just from eating the fried pickles?!

My god son didn’t eat the pickles so he was fine! But I felt bad that I got sick and he couldn’t enjoy himself at his fav restaurant!

Usually our food is really good. This particular visit the food was terrible. I ordered a side salad without the egg, and when I got my bowl it looked like they ran out of salad. Some of the rolls tasted doughy in the center. That was a really big disappointment because everyone who knows Texas Roadhouse knows they mostly come for the rolls. 😉I ordered the 6oz filet with the side of ribs and a loaded sweet potato. My steak tasted like it was microwaved and branded to show grilled marks. I ordered my steak medium rare. With that being said it was super dry and flavorless. My loaded sweet potato I thought looked good until I took a fork full and realized it was burnt on the underside which made it taste kinda gross. Honestly the only thing that I ordered that tasted like it should an was good was the ribs. The waitress was great, very nice and welcoming. I didn't want to complain to her about our food as she was waiting on several large parties, including ours. I was not too happy with the way things worked with the seating as well. We had a party of 9 and was sat in a booth that holds 4 adults and an added small table that had two chairs. We didn't complain because we had already came in to reserve our space for the party of 9 and waitited for an hour to be seating. At that point we didn't want to have to wait again for seating to become available so that we could eat. The doors to the restaurant are very nasty and sticky. Would like to see the cleanliness of this place improve along with the space for waiting to be seated. Overall this place needs...
