I’ve been a resident at PAC Newport for the past four years. Over that time, I’ve witnessed steady rent increases that now exceed $5,000 for a two-bedroom apartment in 2025 — pricing that should reflect a premium living experience. Unfortunately, the reality falls short.
One ongoing issue is the laundry facility on the 30th floor. The dryers are ineffective, often requiring three full cycles just to dry a single load — costing approximately $9 each time. Despite raising this concern multiple times over the past year, there has been no meaningful response or resolution from Newport management.
The current elevator situation, however, is what prompted this post. For the past two weeks, only one elevator has been operational. In the last three days, the second elevator has also gone out of service. In a 30-floor building at full occupancy, this is completely unacceptable. During peak hours — like weekday mornings or evenings — wait times for an elevator regularly exceed 15 to 30 minutes.
Even more concerning is the total lack of communication or transparency from Newport management about this issue. There has been no update on a timeline for repairs or acknowledgment of the inconvenience residents are facing daily.
After years of being a loyal resident, I can say with certainty that Newport Management prioritizes profits over people. Residents are treated as disposable, and valid concerns are ignored time and again. I’m extremely disappointed and counting down the days until my lease ends.
If you’re considering moving here, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere — somewhere that values its residents and delivers on the amenities you’re paying for. Newport is not that place. You will get better service at...
Read moreHad a decent experience here for two years and even referred friends as well. Staff is mostly adequate. Getting packages or furniture delivered is more of a hassle at Newport apartments compared to any other apartments I've lived in. Flooring and appliances for a lot of the units are really old and will need repairs (although the maintenance staff is usually quick to address issues).
Be really careful when you move out though! The apartment does not always honor elevator reservations and will take it out on your security deposit if you do not get enough time to move out and clean the apartment as a result of their error. Plan ahead as if you will not have access to the service elevator to move out any of your furniture so that you still have time to clean. This will probably mean moving out over multiple days but that's still better than getting charged for more than half of your security...
Read moreThe doorman kept giving us conflict information regarding package pick up and kept wasting our time. We have a heavy furniture needed a return and we scheduled a carrier pick up for that. The doorman didn't let us put that package on the first floor (i.e., package collect point for this building), which is fine, but he didn't let the carrier go upstairs to pick it up from our unit as well. We gave both phone call and notice to the doorman in advance for it, but he just didn't allow us do it either way to return the furniture. Our package return has been delayed several times because of him, and we are really tired in trying re-schedule the return so many times because of him. I don't know what the property management team is waiting for. You guys have seen so many complaints about that doorman (and I confirm all is true) and it's such a disappointment that you guys have no actions to take on...
