After reading the reviews, I was skittish about visiting my local verizon store at Newport Mall, JC. Although I had previously visited the store in late 2014, the reviews did not leave me with much hope of having a good experience. However, during my visit during my lunch break, I was greated by a gentlement who took my name down and told me I was next. Within a few minutes (5 or so), associate Arlene Lal was up and running transferring information from my old iPhone to my new 6S plus. She was professional, curtious and knowledgeable. I had my OLD Samsumg with me and had not been able to transfer the contacts from the phone's calendar to my new iPhone. She pulled down an app, that not even the Verizon rep on the phone with me a few nights back knew about, and was able to transfer the information to my new phone. I had bought my own accessories through Amazon and the store Manager Jon Colon kindly volunteered to replace the protector I had purchased and transfered it to the new phone--he did disclaim that if it broke they could not replace it--and I agreed, the alterative would have been for me to do it myself and given my level of experience replacing existing phone protectors (NONE), I hedged my bets and relied on him instead. All in all, I write this to say this: people will rush to provide a negative review, but only a few would do the same to write a positive one. Thus, take these reviews with a grain of salt. If more of us took the time to write, even if a brief one liner about our experience, it would help to offset all the negativity that we tend to dish out so easily. The Verizon Wireless store at the Newport Mall is very organized and doing well! We all have a bad day once in a while, lets not punish everyone....
Read moreI was racially and gender discriminated in this Verizon store by not being allowed to get inside!!! Can't believe this happened in 2022!!! This is the first time in my life that I was kicked out by a store. Thanks Verizon for this terrible experience!!
The story begun when I opened a family plan with my friend at this Verizon store back in Apr. The sales person lured us to open an account by providing us with a $1000 rebate. He promised the rebate will be delivered within two months. Four months later, after countless rounds of phone calls and face-to-face talk with Verizon customer service and sales rep from the Verizon store, we still haven't got this promised "rebate". All the answer we got is just "wait". I walked into this Verizon store with my friend, who is the owner of the family plan, to look for help to get the rebate. The sales rep, who showed an attitude of not willing to host us at the beginning, only gave one solution - call customer service, which already happened tons of times. We were irritated and asked him if there are other solutions to get this rebate. The store manager came. He didn't ask what's going on but simply claimed that we didn't respect the sales person and requested us to leave the store. That is how Verizon is treating problematic customers, by using security guard to remove them from the store. I feel I have been treated this way because of our race and gender. The store manager is so arrogant and blamed everything on customers without even understanding what's going on. HOW CAN THIS DISCRIMINATED STORE EVEN...
Read moreSo apparently Verizon had this deal where you can trade in your current iPhone for a new iPhone 16.
I arranged the trade in and was told that I would receive my new iPhone 16 Pro April 2nd 2025.
It is now April 14th and I still haven’t received my new iPhone, nor have the arrangements for the trade in transpired!
Only via my efforts to contact Verizon am I informed by these incompetent degenerates that the iPhone was, “returned,” for reasons unknown.
The agent that I spoke with, at first, informed me that everything involving this situation was fixed and that I could arrange to go to this particular Verizon store (via an appointment) to obtain my new iPhone.
I arrive at the store and the ridiculous store employees, specifically one female who consistently wears a mask over her face, can’t even figure out why I’m there!
It then falls to me to figure out what happened and why I can’t get this damn iPhone despite already paying for it; I’m literally just standing in the store, having to speak with another agent, and waiting on hold for more than an hour!
The money which I paid is still not refunded, and any hopes of getting this new iPhone soon is lost.
Perhaps getting law enforcement involved to investigate Verizon for extortion is the best option!
WHEN YOU ARRANGE A DEAL WITH A CUSTOMER FOR THE TRADE IN OF A DEVICE THIS CRAZY CRAP SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!
GIVE THE CUSTOMER THE DEVICE OR GIVE THEM THEIR MONEY BACK!
IT’S JUST...
