While I was visiting Jim Thorpe I stumbled upon a local Distillery named Nomad. It’s a small place that sells several different kinds of of Spirits, and Miner’s Root Beer which is spiked. ( this spiked root beer is so good.) They sell all kinds of Merch along with nonalcoholic drinks too. Outside was a local artist playing guitar and singing. While I was here I did tasting, 6 for $8. There was many to choose from and spiked Miner’s Root Beer which I took home. I tried their Apple Pie Shine , Sweet Tea Shine, Blueberry Shine, Lemon Shine, and Peach Shine, Blackberry Bramble Liquor.. They were all very good. My boyfriend chose for his 6 tastings Noble Bourbon, Tapped ( Maple) Whiskey, Blackberry Bramble liquor, Peach Shine, Blueberry Shine, Root Beer Shine. The staff was great! Very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my time here. I went home with many different bottles of spirits. In response to owner's response - Do you think you are the first and only distillery we've ever visited?? You are attempting to make a huge profit off charging customers to sample, just to offset your poor business skills. Shame on you. FYI we do know what it is like to be a small businesses owner and don't appreciate being taken advantage of. Original post - Stopped by and paid $10 to sample the liquor they have for sale. The shot glasses were the smallest shot cups I've ever seen. Then they only filled the tiny cups a 1/4 of the way. So in essence they are selling the world's smallest flight. Can't believe they are trying to profit off of sampling the liquor they are trying to sell??? To add insult to injury, they don't offer to credit some or all of the money you paid to sample their products if you made a purchase like other...

Stopped in a Tuesday around 4pm while exploring the town and surprisingly we were the only ones in there. In addition to their tastings they have a lot of merch and some non alcoholic beverages. The lady bartender was very friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great tasting service. We even got to try the Miners Root Beer made from their root beer shine (it’s BETTER than Your Fathers [IYKYK])! Enjoyed everything we tasted (whiskey and shines).
