In August 2019 my husband bought me a tanzanite ring with diamonds from their Ketchikan, Alaska store. The salesperson, Deepak Jaswani - Regional Manager, said that they have multiple stores and they guarantee the ring so if any issues in the future to let them know. I did not want to leave without the appraisal paperwork so I could get it insured right away. He assured me they were going to mail it within two days. That did not happen and it took many calls asking for it but they finally sent it. Then just after 30 days of purchasing the ring I noticed one of the side diamond was missing in the band. Immediately called them and they emailed a prepaid label with tracking number to ship the ring back for repair. At first Nick asked if I could wait till they got to their California store since they were shutting down the Alaska store for the winter. Remembering how hard it was to get the appraisal from them I didn’t want to wait. The ring cost thousands of dollars and I wanted it fixed right away. It took them around ten days to repair the ring and send it back to me. The evening I received the ring I was shocked it was returned with scratches and a chunk missing in the band. It looked like they chiseled the area where they inserted a darker looking diamond and the area felt very rough. I immediately emailed them many pictures to inform them. The next day on October 8th I called and spoke to Nick and stayed on the phone while he checked the email. He verified they got the email with the pictures and could see the damage to the ring. He said he would have the manager call me but she would call on the 13th or 14th since they are closing for winter. I asked Nick to email me so I had that in writing and he did not. Days went by and I never received an email or call. I called and emailed multiple times trying to reach them and no answer. We opened a dispute with the credit card company. I spoke with Abhi - he was great showed me the ring, gave me a price that was 1/2 of Effy on the Cunard Queen Elizabeth was quoting for a similar ring. ,He explained the financing options and then got Deepak to come in and offer more information on the ring. In the process they were friendly and helpful and incredibly professional. I picked out one ring, but, in the process, saw another that I truly fell in love with but brushed it off because I assumed it was too expensive.. Deepak offered me a good price that countered - and he then countered back - we finally met in the middle and I ended up buying the ring. The ring is GIA certified, which really gave me a good amount of confidence in the purchase. I also had a higher level of trust knowing that their initial offer on the first ring was much lower than Effy quoted me on a similar ring. I also did a quick look at and their Trip Advisor and Google Reviews which were amazing - so that boosted my confidence also. Deepak gave me very favorable financing terms and I bough the ring. They were very friendly and willing to do business. I bought a diamond floating bracelet and was told their customer service was excellent. It was, until you leave the store. My bracelet broke after two hours at a dinner party on the cruise. I took it to a reputable jeweler in Minnesota and he informed me that it would continue to break and lose diamonds because the setting was too thin. I tried to call them for two weeks and no return call or any correspondence with them. I sent my bracelet back because they assured me of customer service within a month. They have my broken bracelet, my money and I cannot get them to return a phone call. I would definitely never do business with them again.
