This store refuses to replace an item my mother bought and has lied to her about replacing it multiple times. My parents visited the store off of a cruise ship in May 2018. She purchased a cane with a ram head carved onto the handle for $75, left the store, and returned to the cruise ship. While using the cane that same evening on the cruise ship, it snapped in half while she was walking. Disappointed and hoping to get a replacement, she called the store from Juneau the next day. They said “this never happens” and “please send us a picture.” Since my mother couldn’t use her phone on the ship, she sent the picture of the broken cane 2 weeks later. The customer service representative confirmed receipt of the picture of the ram cane, and sent my mother pictures of potential replacements, none of which were the ram cane she wanted and had purchased. She continued to email and call requesting that the store send her a replacement ram cane. Finally after about 5 conversations with the same female customer service representative, they told my mother they were sending a bear cane to replace the ram cane that broke. It never arrived. After calling one last time and speaking to the same woman to let them know she never received the replacement, she confirmed again that “it was in the mail.” This was mid-August. Nothing has arrived.
Beware poor quality products and poor customer service. My mother is too nice of a person to write this review so I gladly...
Read moreLast August we took a cruise to Alaska and stopped in Ketchikan. We visited the Soaring Eagle store, and my husband saw a manta ray statue that we really liked. Sadly, the statue was broken. Mike the sales person let us know that he could get us a new one and would bring it to our home in Idaho in October so we made the purchase. October came rolling around and he didn’t show up, so we called in November the gentleman we spoke to said that the statue would be shipped by somebody else in Seattle. When January came and we still did not have our statue. I started trying to call the store, not realizing it was closed for the season. I was upset. So I kept looking at the receipt and I noticed that underneath the address and the phone number there was another number on the receipt, just 9 digits, it wasn’t easily recognized as a phone number. So I gave it a try and called it. I spoke to a gentleman named Chad, and he was incredible. I sent a text of my receipt and pictures of the item we had purchased. He said let me check on this and a day and a half later he sent me a text and let me know he had the piece and would be shipping it out to me. I am so grateful for Chad and his work to get me the piece, my husband really loves. I realize sometimes things slip through the cracks, so I was very pleased that Chad took care of things right away for us. It only took a week for the piece to arrive. It is beautiful. Thank...
Read moreOmg, we had the BEST experience last week with Sam and his coworkers here. Easily the most fun and informative shop we visited. They have a beautiful, vast, and amazing selection of jewelry, turquoise and spiny oyster and opal and mother of pearl and larimar and lapis and topaz and amber and gold quartz and more. They all know their stuff, like REALLY know it, Sam was able to name the jewelry maker for every piece as well as creation techniques, symbolism, history, and so much more. Best of all, neither Sam nor any other salespeople at the shop were pushy or aggressive. We are on a cruise, (and for those of you who have ever been on one, youll know that the shops the cruise tries to shove you towards are affiliated with the ship, overpriced, and super aggressive regarding sales) and visiting Soaring Eagle was SUCH a breath of fresh air. My husband is a jeweler and an artist himself, and this is one of maybe three places on the entire cruise that actually felt authentic, welcoming, and worth it (both in his professional opinion and my personal one). The prices are also very reasonable. Almost forgot to mention, they have baleen baskets too! Lastly, the shop also has a massive sculpture room (that included a huge sculpture of an owl that looked crazy excited and a little stoned, it was super cute, had to get pics, it was adorbs). Next time we' re in Alaska, we are definitely...
