I went into my appointment with high hopes that they would be able to fix my battery problem I had visited the store once before last month for the same issue and I was told there was nothing wrong mind you my Apple care expires this month on the 12 I believe my phone decided to not hold charge last night, although the phone already told me it was a faulty battery meaning the battery it came with was bad so they should have replaced it because I was not at fault for that, they didn’t in fact only one person actually offered me any help he was a African American male who was very kind and helpful and patient because I was in there with my two year old who was not having it hence why no one else wanted to help me they just wanted me to leave and I could feel it it was the most unprofessional room I have ever been in nonetheless the “TECH” hanah didn’t listen to a word I said she shut down everything I was trying to explain by saying because the screen was cracked that’s why the phone wouldn’t hold charge ummm bye lol I wanted to laugh but she wasn’t kidding she was serious and said the best they could do was for me to buy a NEW Phone I had just had this one maybe a year ! The manager Anton also was a sorry excuse for a manager and very obviously didn’t want to help I can’t even get into my apartment without my phone via the Latch APP and honestly I have to money to buy a new phone and had they all been as kind and helpful and had actual willingness to help me I would have but instead I left unhappy and honestly on their verge of tears how could they just not fix the battery of that was the problem anyway this story ends well I ended up stumbling into a phone repair store literally up the street the two employees in the store were so kind and helpful they told me the screen could possibly breaks during repair and then if I was ok with the extra charge he actually gave me a discount on the screen if it broke now this is where I really lost it because my screen had broken on its own and I tried to explain that to the people at Apple but honestly they didn’t want to help it was almost as if they did everything not too tbh but basically they opened my phone showed me how the battery was faulty and had pushed up on my screen cause it to break meaning the Apple product sold to me was bad over 1000 for a faulty device. I paid a total of 90 dollars for a new battery he was amazing and didn’t break the screen so I didn’t even get my screen fixed I’m forever greatful to the people at Logifix house of repair on 701 s broadway Los Angeles, I encourage you to not waste your time or money trying to get any help here crazy to think that the actual store for the device couldn’t fix it but someone else could they didn’t even open my phone at the Apple Store if they did they would have to to replace the phone and they know that actually disgusting to sell products that aren’t good. Oh and the people at the repair shop fixed my phone and then I paid because I don’t have my debt card my son loves to throw them away and sometimes I don’t catch it so all in all Apple didnt care that I couldn’t get into my apartment of buy food or anything but the repair shop did and I’ll never spend my money in a Apple...
Read moreMy phone was obliterated in an accident near Sherman Oaks. I walked into their Apple Store and was told they didn't have any walk-in availability and that my best bet would be to schedule an appointment with my local Apple Store, that being the downtown Tower Apple Store.
Upon arriving for my appointment at the Tower Apple Store, I was informed that I had made an appointment to BUY A NEW IPHONE, and that what I really needed to do was make an appointment for the genius bar.
As a result, I attempted to inform the employee at the front of the store that this was my second trip to an Apple Store that day, and that my phone is a non-functioning paperweight and that making another appointment would be a serious set-back. I asked if there was anything he could do, possibly just have me meet with the person I had already made an appointment for, and just do the exchange that the AppleCare coverage, that I pay for, entails.
I was subsequently informed that regular sales agents are apparently INCAPABLE of doing AppleCare incident related exchanges, and can only assist in the sale of a new phone. Apparently, only the elite team of highly trained Apple GENIUS' can bring out a new phone while simultaneously taking a broken phone.
The employee also stated to me, that the downtown store was short staffed on Genius employees, ostensibly gearing their teams towards more sales as opposed to repairs. This is despite the fact that it's late August, the new phone is coming out in September, and only a genuine nincompoop would be purchasing a new iPhone right now.
I was also informed my best option would be to try to drive another Apple Store, 30 minutes away, to go try my luck with their walk-in situation. The employee I was speaking to also made it clear to me, that he was completely incapable of making any autonomous decisions related to appointment scheduling, per Apple Store policy.
The other reviews I've read for this store don't even seem to be from actual human beings. "Guides" upon "guides" trying to characterize a literal Apple Store as a meaningful contribution to Los Angeles history, without any consideration for the ACTUAL SHOPPING EXPERIENCE IN THE STORE.
This Apple Store is a fantastic tourist trap for people visiting from places where a 3 story building is considered a skyscraper, but if you actually live here, and need to purchase a phone or computer, for you know, work or something, unfortunately the actual shopping experience will make you want to...
Read moreTLDR: Do not trust your products with them. They lied that my laptop had roaches.
I scheduled a genius bar appointment to run a diagnostic on my MacBook Pro for what I believe to be an issue with the battery that would need replacing. I was attended by an employee named Angely who would be taking care of my laptop. Prior to this issue with the battery, my laptop was functioning normally without any other complications in performance or in the display. The laptop was notifying me that I would need to replace the battery soon. I told Angely all of this and she attempted a couple of reboot options on the keyboard that failed to turn on my MacBook. We agreed that she take it to the back to try other options such as opening the bottom lid of the MacBook. When she returned, she told me that upon opening the bottom lid she found bugs that she specified to be roaches burrows in the bottom part of my MacBook. I felt immediately mortified because I know that I have never lived in a home with a roach infestation problem. She even went as far as to say that there was a big roach on the left top corner of the bottom part. I was in shock and she and she immediately suggested that I consider purchasing another laptop. She did not show me the bags because she said she closed the lid immediately as it would be considered a biohazard to work with. She proceeded to handle my laptop without gloves even though claiming my laptop to be unhygienic. Skeptical of these claims, when I returned home I decided to look for myself. Lo and behold, there were no roaches to be discovered at all, anywhere. The only thing was some dust. I have been a loyal customer to all Apple products and I feel that this customer representative went to far and honestly behaved very unprofessionally in this situation because she lied when she didn’t need to. I would have rather been referred to a third-party repair service then be lied to and humiliated in the process. It seems as if this store’s ultimate motive is to make sales rather than to attending to the products a customer already has with them. Do not trust their word. Attached in this review is a photo of when I...
