Visited 10/21/2023 only a small group of people were sitting outside. The lady taking our order was either new or really had no idea what she was doing. I asked for an item that was listed on the menu, Volcan Al Pastor, she had no clue and charged me for a different item. I also ordered an asada taco.

She brings over my food and forgot my taco. I look and verified my receipt and I was charged for the taco, so I called her over. She brings me my taco. Days later I check my account and she secretly charged me for the taco I had already paid. This is like a gentrified Mexican Restaurant. This restaurant is listed as El Chinateco but also as Dame mas!

Wont return for the following reasons: Not authentic Mexican food. Food was very greasy and I only ate the cheese. Service was not the best either. My friends food was also bad, flautas tasted old and other food was greasy.

I happen ed into Casa LA Dona because of a bicycle failure and suddenly found myself exported through the pandemic wormhole to another place and time. This is the land of people who pride themselves on real taste, value, presentation and performance. Even the can of Coca Cola I bought was superiorly more cold than many I have bought in the city of angels.

I know I will revisit this establishment t regularly. The corner location and the outside tables has presented a sign of recovery for our local eateries. The employees here see the same sunsets and sunrises I do but they somehow sprinkle some of that into the experience of enjoying very well prepared authentic Mexican food.

The fish taco was excellent, it's size was above average and I could actually taste the fish! 4.5 * stars to Casa LA Dona. I can't wait to try some...

Over PRICED Up DE ASS, You kidding me? 3 little tacos and a drink 12 bucks?! The food was Okay but not worth 12 dollars. The tacos were smaller than the paw of my hands. To top it off, it's a freaken oven in there. I was pouring gallons of sweat just to eat there and nope, there's no Air conditioning. The only reason it wasn't a one star because the staff was very kind and courteous and served really fast. A shame thier good service has to be wasted in this sad excuse of a restaurant. I can't comprehend how the hell thier rating is actually good. Obviously the previous customers who have rated this have money to blow and don't have a good taste actual good food. Take my advice and go the extra block to 7th St and just eat at Danny's Tacos. At least they serve good food there and at...

I had carne asada fries they were ok you can tell they put just enough ingredients so you can’t see the bottom but after your first bite you can tell it’s a plate full of fries. There was melted cheese in some places but not all over. The meal was dry due to the lack or ingredients and amount of fries used. You can only eat from the top and not the entire top because all the ingredients were not throughout the meal. The presentation was great but when I started eating I quickly became irritated because it was not what I thought it would be for $16. The key to good carne asada fries is the wet ingredients abs the cheese so the fries do not make the meal dry. This was not worth what it abs my search for good carne asada fries in LA is still on sadly.

Casa La Doña is a family owned Mexican food spot with one of the best home made salsa bars in Los Angeles!! All of the food is freshly made, they offer plenty of rare dishes from Central Mexico that you can’t order anywhere else in the city, and the owners and staff are always in welcoming and good spirits! The only thing I would recommend is adding a bathroom for customers, but if you really gotta go just head across the street to Living Foods, the restrooms there are public and the staff is also nice. Beware going on taco Tuesday, the line can wrap around the corner BUT if you have the time it’s totally worth the wait!! Parking could be better, it’s either street parking in the meters or $10 cash above the business.

This place is in Download Los Angeles in a very nice area away from skid row, we tried this place out of curiosity and it was recommended by a friend, the staff is so nice and friendly, they offered us to stay indoors or outdoors, as soon as we entered the place the smell was very interesting already, we ordered street tacos and it pastor and it was heavenly tasty, they have like a special sauce with mild, medium or very spicy tomatillo sauce, the tacos tasted so fresh that the corn tortillas smelled so fresh and soft, melted cheese and guacamole was really nice, tamarind drink was on point as well, highly recommended for on the go place to try
