This review is based solely on the customer service experience I’ve had because I’m STILL waiting on my product. The website advertised an end of year sale, so I took advantage. I have seen their products up close and personal as several of my friends own pieces and they come highly recommended. This particular piece, the feather bracelet, was part of a gift package I was putting together for a significant other. The website boasts three day delivery. They also offer an expedited option for a small fee. I chose to have the order rushed, and spent the extra money on a Monday. The gift was needed by Friday. After not receiving shipping details immediately, I emailed them to track my package. For two days, they were radio silent. Then I received a message saying my order was received and I could track my package. Only you cant. The software needed to track packages in their own generated email...they don’t use it. So I emailed again. By now it’s Thursday, and I have no faith in receiving this item as part of the package I was putting together. On Friday morning, five days after my expedited order was placed, I received an apology stating that the company had run out of shipping materials and that my order would be shipped in the morning, as in Saturday morning. To compensate this oversight, a 20% discount towards my next order was offered. A generous enough gift as their items are beautiful and not very expensive. But today is Monday, a full week after placing my order with rushed delivery and I have received nothing. Not sure that the 20% discount on a future order was the best way to smooth things over for a person who is still waiting for an item that should have been here days ago. Again, this rating is purely based on the customer service and not the product itself, as I have seen it and love it, just wish I could get the one that I actually ordered...
Read moreI ordered from Elegatto several weeks ago. It was not delivered, and they have not responded to emails. Do NOT order from this site or you're likely to have the same experience that I had. I submitted an order in mid-December. Since then, no order information has been provided, and there's no response from their email address. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this website. I'll be contacting my Credit Card Company to see if I can get a refund. UPDATE - Feb 2: I notified Elegatto that I would be complaining to the local police department - and received a response the same day. Tima (Customer Service) said that my money would be refunded within a matter of a few days. I received the refund back into my account a few days later. Since then, Tima has asked me (several times) to update the review - so I've decided to provide additional feedback here. It's disappointing to see that so many people are STILL having the same poor experience that I had. I wonder how many simply write off the cash... resulting in a tidy profit for Elegatto. In addition, several customers speak about their disappointment with the quality of the product received. So, my recommendation is to read the reviews and make up your own mind. If you want my opinion, I think Elegatto does not put the customer first... and I wouldn't consider ever purchasing from...
Read moreUpdate: a new customer service rep reached out via email to make things right. This new rep is very responsive and they sent me the item I initially wanted as well as a free gift, which was a nice gesture.
With that said, I'm changing my review to 4 stars.
Cheaply made, well marketed products are purposely marked as "on sale" on their website to avoid refunds.
They created this rule of "only store credit" for on sale items, and everything they sell on their website is marked as on sale. This is extremely unethical and borderline illegal.
Unfortunately, I purchased 3 bracelets from them without reading the reviews. My first purchase, the ordered bracelets were too big and I asked for an exchange with the smaller size. It took them 10 days (their website says 48 hours) to acknowledge the return and ship out the replacements. This time I received an incorrect item and their customer service does not even respond to any emails or inquiries.
I shop online almost daily, but I can easily recommend STAYING AWAY from this store. They are extremely unprofessional and do not care about customer satisfaction at all. They don't even show the courtesy of responding to emails AND they don't even have a customer service...
