I am a 2nd generation customer to Rondel's. My dad purchased my mom's engagement ring from Angie's father around 30 years ago. When it came time for me to buy an engagement ring for my now fiance, my parents said the first place I had to go to was Rondel's in the jewelry district. It ended up being the first and last. I assembled a plan to propose to my high school sweetheart about two weeks before an out of state trip with my family and her. When we visited Angie, she had the perfect diamond assortment ready for us when we arrived after a considerable drive to Los Angeles. She had certainly found the perfect diamond. I bought it that day and Angie quickly sent it off to her setter. Even though I put her in a hard spot, with asking for the ring being ready in a week and a half, Angie was sweet and kind the whole way. Somehow, she pushed it miraculously pushed it through her busy queue and I had the ring in my pocket on the way to the airport. The proposal was perfect and we could not be happier. Unfortunately, months later, my fiance's hand was slammed in a sliding door and the thin band (which I chose against Angie's structural recommendation) snapped. Graciously, Angie moved the diamond to a new, thicker band that was even more stunning. She did so swiftly, so that my fiance may once again have the symbol of our love on her hand again. Rondels, Raymonda and her daughter, Angie, were amazing. We purchased my wife's gorgeous engagement ring here along with our subsequent wedding bands. Family owned for many, many years (like 30???).

I (the groom) went to five jewelers, including "discount" and/or "direct" outlets, a reputable second-hand establishment, and others, looking for a nice diamond. I found the same diamond here (as much as any two can be alike... same size, color, cut... you know...) for half the cost of the next runner up.

Raymonda worked with me, with my budget, and found the perfect diamond based on what I knew my wife would like. Service was excellent, she could not have been nicer or more helpful. The setting for the engagement ring and later matching wedding band were custom designed based on something "almost perfect" my wife found only here. We had it altered, hand-made to order, to make it perfect. I say "had it" but that's not really the case, that's just how they do it. They make you a ring, not just buying something out of a case. Of course give some time, it will be well worth it.

My future mother-in-law recommended Rondel's after I called her and confessed I was looking for a ring and I had no clue what I was doing. She told me to go where she and her husband got their rings, so I did. Angie made the process easy. One of the first questions she asked was how much I knew about diamonds. I knew nothing so she walked me through diamonds 101. By the end of the conversation I knew what I was looking for, and she did too. Angie said "I think I have the perfect stone for you," and she was right! It took less time to make the ring than it did for me to plan my proposal.
