Living here almost two months now and I wanted to say a big thank you to Izzabella, Jack and Michael for the help with getting everything sorted for the move in. Moving can be stressful and there will be challenges, and our move was a hot mess and that’s even more reason I appreciate Izzabella and the team for working with us and having everything organized for our move. Izzabella was our main point of contact and also gave us a tour of the apt beforehand and was so helpful and kind along the way. Once we got settled there were some repairs that needed to be done. Super easy to put a request in the app. Even during the holidays and new years and how busy this time is Cristian went above and beyond to get all the repairs done and with a smile. Carlos and Cristian who had our best interest in mind in helping us get settled in our new apt and make sure everything was replaced and or working for us, we are so grateful. I have had some horror stories living at other apts and the Roosevelt lofts has given me some hope the way they run things here and show they really care. From the amazing valet and front desk team, I always look forward to saying hi and goodnight in passing to the elevators, knowing my packages are safe, and my car will be handled with care, it’s truly a breath of fresh air. I also feel very safe here. The valet for parking took me a little to get used to but what a luxury! Worth every penny! May I add it’s also really wonderful to feel the same love and care AFTER moving in, because we all know sometimes properties will just be so nice to get you to sign the year lease and then totally drop the act after you move in! The communication at the Roosevelt is on point also, anytime something is closed or whatever it is we will get a email or app notification message about it. There’s package lockers and the wonderful front desk also logs in and manages our packages so we never have to worry about them being stolen like before. $5 monthly fee well worth it.
Love the windows and our view annd our loft in general. That HUGE bathtub! Our loft is open and we don’t hear our neighbors footsteps (was a problem with a lot of my apts). Heads up, one thing we didn’t realize is there’s no curtains, so if that’s something important to you be sure to buy curtains before moving in for the bedroom or living room! We now have curtains in the bedroom but the sun for the living room can get SO hot so it’s nice to have the option.
The amenities are spectacular. There’s even a really good stand up tanning booth. I know I know peoples opinions on tanning but it’s there if you want it. My boyfriend and I love the gym and go regularly. There’s two giant tvs which is awesome. They are working on getting it set back up working again. All the equipment you will need, even TRX. All the machines are in working order. And if something were to come up I know I can count on Cristian or the office! My favorite little spot is the big picture fountain with those half circle cabana beds a perfect spot to go chill or read a book.
Location: I find myself driving less which It’s awesome to be able to walk to just about anywhere I need to go. There’s a variety of restaurants or fast grab places around. Love that there’s a fed-ex and post office so close by. We were a bit nervous about where to walk our dog but we found so many little grass spots around and it’s become our little routine now. There is 24/7 security all around securing the plazas and certain buildings, to which I find comfort. Some of my favorite spots are the capital one cafe (50%off) if you use your cap one card! The staff that work there are so cool and kind. So many bakeries and cafes to choose from. Whole Foods, gyms, shopping you name it it’s all here. Another little spot that I love is right next door called Marie’s and they have yummy food and lattes. They are wonderful people and those little genuine exchanges are everything.
Again big thank you to all the wonderful staff, Izzabella, Michael, Jack,...

I met him on the phone when I sent part of my household before we moved in to the Roosevelt. He is kind, protective of the beauty of the building and the people. If I stand outside in the dark waiting for a Lyft Michael comes out and stands quietly beside me. * Michael Weiss. is the Assistant Business Manager. There isn't a thing he won't do for me to make my home comfortable and perfect. Generous with time. Knows everyone's name. I trust and count on him. * Gina Lazcano. Gina is as bright and beautiful as the flowers she arranges and maintains. She is considered a friend to everyone. Makes the RL a wonderful place to come home to. * Christian Bautista. Christian takes care of me...I know I'm supposed to fill our a service request...but he will still take care of what I need, particularly when I think it is important and don't have time. He is responsive and works the entire building. Very charming. Has a beautiful young daughter we get to see on occasion. Jack Wallach. He is the Boss and is he great! Visible, considerate resolves a problem. Responds to each resident as an individual. He loves the Roosevelt and you can tell by the way he manages the building. I stay in a large part because of Jack. I know I can trust him to treat people fairly. He is a joyful person and a character. Nice place to live! This whole team is my family** Sandra Correas: I see Sandra almost every morning as she begins the beautification and cleaning of the each flor and the community space. She is lovely, friendly and does a great job.Alsways speaks and ask how I am.*And then a callout to Izzabella Gonzales, Leasing Manager. She knows everything about the Units and participates in all the activities. She is interested in all of the residents. She answers many of my questions. Very friendly and gets tons of work done
Low noise [really!], great transportation, restaurants making a big comeback, great walking spaces, LA Phil Music center, museums, pharmacy [Wallgreens staff in particular] and other cultural activities very close [walk, metro, lyft if the hill on Grand it too steep. Easy to get to the beach. Several grocery stores, pharmacies. Good Restaurants. Public library about 2 blocks away. The Roosevelt sits over Metro Center so easy to get on a train quickly.*has it all
We've lived at the Roosevelt Lofts for about 18 months. What an incredible place. Beautiful units and great and friendly people live here. Location! Beautiful architecture. All of the staff is great...how is that possible? Today I want to call out a number of the staff who make this all so terrific and make my day better and simpler.
Gina Lazcano. A big shout-out for keeping the Roosevelt beautiful and sparkling. She is always cheerful, knows the renters and speaks kindly to all. The flower arrangements are stunning. She makes us happy in the morning.
Aug 30: Six months into Covid-19. I want to thank Gina Lazcano for making it a beautiful place during difficult times. I count on her cheerfulness each day I see her. She make me smile...wish she could see it! She makes the Roosevelt a great place.
Cris Bautista Juarez. I must drive him crazy! I ask for all kinds of things related to to small personal help and things to address in the unit. Once I sent in a request for the sealer/grout around one side of the bathtub to be repaired. He went above and beyond by taking care of the entire shower/bathtub sealer which was old and pulling out. I was so HAPPY!
I've written about folks who work diligently and make a difference to me daily. I wanted to recognize and thank them for their hard work, personal character,...
Read moreUpdate review regarding $200 security deposit that Jack the manager and Alexi agent withheld on purpose and waited 3 months to finally give it back. Jack the manager also demanded for me to remove my previous review.
About four or five months ago me and my fiancé we were looking for an apartment loft style to move into. We found Roosevelt lofts, even though the area is bad ( lots of crime, dirty streets, homeless everywhere etc) but the lofts looked nice from the inside and the price was right so we went for it. Unit we reserved with payed security deposit became suddenly unavailable because management told us that current tenants are not going to move out of our unit that my fiancé signed lease for and we were literally notified about it few days before we were suppose to move in. Management said there’s nothing they can do to force tenants out of the apartment even tho our lease was signed. We even shipped some of our furniture there thinking that the lease is signed and that we are moving in. Also Alexie and Jack the manager dragged us along with fake promises by saying that “current tenants will move out eventually and that we have to wait patiently”. We waited way to long and we broke the lease a week before our moving in day. As the lease agreement states if we break the lease before we move in and if we notify management in writing regarding that matter then we will receive $200 security back. We went to pick up our furniture that was delivered to Roosevelt address after we broke the lease. While we were there Alexie the agent insisted to show us one of the units that just became available and he even told us that he will “close his eyes and not charge us pet fees if we take this unit”. We get it, it’s COVID situation, hard times for the economy and people get desperate to sell but come on, we told them in writing and over the phone that we are no longer interested in their company and that we are moving on elsewhere. Now this is were it gets messy from the side of Roosevelt management. Jack told us that we will get the security deposit back, he literally confirmed that and then Jack got mad because we decided to move in elsewhere so he decided to withhold the security deposit on purpose and lie by saying that he offered us unit and told current tenants to move out (the one unit we saw during the time we picked up our furniture). By the way this is illegal and against fair housing act!. Jack finally responded back after we contacted Gary star corporate office, we were going to sue Gray Star and after I posted my first Roosevelt loft review. Jack had the nerve to threaten and demand in the email he wrote for me to remove my Yelp review which is violation of Yelps customer policy. Anyways Jackie, I get your bad behavior and horrible customer service. I can only imagine how it is for you to work in a bad area where you have to be every single day and all you do is think how to withhold people’s security deposit... that must suck. Jack, you are desperate because no one is really interested to stay there or if the are they will eventually move out. In the meantime, me and my fiancé are going to enjoy our beautiful spacious new home that cost more then twice what we were supposed to pay for Roosevelt closet shoe size apartment. This review is not about $200 security deposit, that’s not big money. The real issue is horrible behavior, lies, manipulation etc from the side of Roosevelt management. I want to warn others and save people time and headache to avoid this place completely. By the way... Jackie, don’t be sorry,...
