Shoo Shoo Baby — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I was coming out to celebrate a friends birthday. I got to Shoo Shoo at 11:09pm. There was a long line, we started inching up which was fine but I was on line for an hour and my friend who was celebrating his birthday there had a table with bottles. The lady at the front , she had braids or faux locs she was yelling at my friends telling them there’s no list, just a line. I have no problem waiting in line but there shouldn’t be any reason to yell at people. They were only letting in two people at a time; and there was an actual line and then a cluster of people I guess waiting to get in from someone they knew. I just wish this could’ve been organized a bit better so I can experience the greatness of this place, especially since I’ve never been here before. I loved that they had a lady giving out Apple Cider and water though! ShoutOut to her! Best moment of the night. Waited in line for an hour in 11 minutes and then left because the service to my birthday boy...

Love the cocktails and ambiance here. Comfy seats, friendly people, romantic candlelight vibes, kinda similar to speakeasy but with jazzy live music, trendy/chic interior designs, and absolutely perfect for a date night! My date and I came here after our dinner at Joey’s across the street, and stayed until they closed (2AM on a Wednesday)! Had 2 drinks (gin sour and soho margarita) and they were pretty strong, but so refreshing! I wish they have desserts menu or light bites options to company the alcoholic beverages. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The 40s theme is pretty cool. What prevented this from being a five star review you might ask? The level of the music! It’s so loud. My favorite part of the performance was when it was finished and they finally took a break. I can’t even hear the people sitting right next to me. It’s possible to have live music and not be so loud that my Apple Watch gives me notifications about the decibel levels being too loud. Just turn it down some to a reasonable volume so guests can have a conversation without...
