Bhan Kanom Thai is a wonderful place to enjoy traditional Thai desserts and snacks. I visited this store with my friends on a Friday night and we were amazed by the variety and quality of the products. The store is located in Hollywood and has a colorful and inviting display of fresh and dried desserts. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and they explained the ingredients and flavors of each item. We tried the kanom bueng (crispy crepe), the sai sai (stuffed pastry), the steamed banana cake, the pinched cookies, and the mango sticky rice. The kanom bueng was thin and crunchy, filled with cream and coconut shreds. The sai sai was soft and flaky, with a sweet and savory filling of minced pork and peanuts. The steamed banana cake was moist and fragrant, with a hint of pandan. The pinched cookies were cute and crispy, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The mango sticky rice was fresh and juicy, with a creamy coconut sauce. The portions were generous and the prices were affordable. We enjoyed our desserts in a cozy and comfortable seating area, with Thai music playing in the background. Bhan Kanom Thai is a great place to experience authentic Thai desserts in Los Angeles. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves...
Read moreI came here yesterday and was very pleased with all the choices of delicious treats you would only find back home in Thailand. I bought over $200 worth of stuff and decided to come back today and spent $70. As I was checking out, i inquired about the delicious bean cakes I purchased yesterday. I was hoping that they would have some and to my surprise they were sold out. The middle-aged Thai worker with short hair was very friendly and explained to me that they would make another batch in the evening, but when I asked what time I should return, I was met with some very rude and inappropriate remarks from the younger Thai girl with long hair. When I asked what time I should come back she said "some time in the evening". When I asked exactly what time should I come back she said "I don't know", even though she was the person who was making them. All of the responses were made in a rude- I don't care- tone and was unfriendly. We are Thai people. We don't treat each other this way. We worked hard to get proper entry into this country and to think in a city where the Thai population should be looking out for each other, I'm met with this sorry excuse for a Thai person. I will...

One of the only places that sells Luk Chup, the speciality mung bean paste dessert that is shaped and coloured into fruits and vegetables with a glossy gelatinous coating. The Luk Chup here is the best I ever had! Just look at the pictures! They look better than the real thing! Each piece is carefully made and melts in your mouth with creamy mung bean paste. It’s really too beautiful to eat but I assure you each piece tastes as good as it looks!
They also serve tons of authentic Thai exotic desserts that are beautiful to look at and taste amazing! The crispy crepes are also a must! It’s like bliss on your mouth with a thin, crunchy, fortune cookie like batter except thinner with sweet and savoury rich flavour! This...
