I have been in the jewelry business for over 30 years. The store I work for sent an expensive stone to Vora Gems for recutting along with another parcel, they claim they never received the stone. I watched the owner pack the parcel myself, I have the insurance papers from Parcel Pro indicating the high monetary value (reflecting the value of the total package). The store I work at has been in business since 1987!!! Yes, at this point we could say the other item was worth a fortune, but the other item was a strand of 6mm pearls that was 18" long and that was returned. The "stone" was never to be seen again. I called, I was promised security footage from when the package was opened..... phone call after phone call....nothing. Finally when the owner was able to be reached, he said there was no such footage, they AGAIN NEVER RECEIVED THE STONE.... (after his daughter offered to produce such evidence without me even prompting her). I am now out over $4500 cost on a stone Parcel Pro is not responsible for because they delivered the package, job completed on their end. The package which was under surveillance at Vora when opened, all of the sudden has no footage. The owner is so unpleasant and nasty he will not even entertain the idea of trying to work this out. He threw me off of the phone with an attitude after over 30 YEARS OF WORKING TOGETHER!!!! We still owed $2oo in back invoices because I was truly hoping this "gentleman", I am using that term loosely, would come around. I called one last time to say this was crazy, you lost my stone and you are still billing me for this??? I was hit with a collection notice within the next 3 days!!!! My how this pandemic has changed business and customer service, not to mention to how people speak and act toward others. CUSTOMER SERVICE, HUMAN DECENCY, TRANSPARENCY, HONESTY AND TRUST .......I GUESS THE PANDEMIC UNFORTUNATELY REMOVED ALL OF THESE QUALITIES THIS COMPANY ONCE HAD. I would highly recommend using...
