Kamaole Shopping Center — Local services in Maui

Shopping center itself had nice little shops and places to eat. But the reason for the two stars is the security guard on duty! We parked in the parking lot and we're about to go shopping in some of the stores but decided to go for shaved ice right across the street first.The security guard stopped us and told us that we couldn't park there if we were leaving the parking lot. One would think that promoting community shopping would be a good thing, as we told him that we were going to shop after having shaved ice. But we were forced to leave. My Mom and I went to the Coconut Fish Cafe and the food was good just not enough for what we paid for. Everything is separate if you want a complete meal. I got Poke Tuna as an appetizer and got just that no rice included $12. My Mom got a chicken sandwich, no chips, fries or drink included and her sandwich was $14-$16.

Needless to say we did not return during our stay and went elsewhere for food.

Omg, always have to grab a couple of gooey macadamia nut cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting at the cinnamon roll bakery downstairs, but get there in the morning so u catch them in time, since they close earlier in the day than one would expect 😅...
