I am not a jewelry person by any means and this is my first purchase of anything that wasn't just a cheap buy, so let's say this is coming from a rookie. I had been looking for a gift for the past couple of weeks and decided to take a stroll around The Shops at Wailea with zero intention of buying what I did. On my way out, thought I would stop into Na Hoku just to take a look at what they had. Again, I am a rookie at this and in no way do I appear that I belong in a jewelry shop. Walked in wearing a tank top and board shorts covered in sand. First person to greet me was David. Asked if I was looking for anything in particular and responded that I was just looking around. As I was browsing, he asked if I wanted to look at anything or needed pricing, just let him know...in a way that made me feel comfortable shopping and not in a pushy or "I don't belong there" way. As I started to zoom in on a purchase that I hadn't intended on making, but actually found what I was really looking for, he was super helpful. The pendant I was looking at wasn't in stock but had one available at another location and could get it in a couple days. When it came to chains, I wasn't really seeing anything I really loved until Tina mentioned another chain. Way more than I wanted to spend on a chain but was just the look I liked...thanks a lot Tina:). Two days later, sooner than I expected, I went to pick up the necklace. They recognized me upon arrival, I think a rarity at this time of year but I do stick out a bit, and got everything gift wrapped and ready to go. Just want to say thank you for all the help and selling me what I really think I was looking for and not judging a book by its cover. It's a rarity these days and I really appreciate it. I will be back for sure...maybe for the matching...
Read moreSo we bought a ring from them when we were on vacation I came back. The ring fell apart, so I contacted customer service shipped it off to them. They said that it’d be about 15 day turnaround on an answer on when they could do… No problem I’ve waited probably two months now have contacted them three or four times and have gotten no response… So in my opinion, they’re a bunch of crooks.. Just because the ring didn’t cost thousands of dollars doesn’t mean we didn’t spend our hard earned money on it and deserve to get it fixed.. I am so upset so they basically stole something that we paid for.. That’s how I’m taking it as I have sent probably four or five more emails asking what the status of it is and I’ve gotten ghosted.. Do not buy from them!! This is crazy.. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and whoever else I can cause this...
Read moreBought a palm tree pendant a couple of years back when we were in Maui. wife loved it. After a couple of years one of the mother of pearl inlays fell out. we took it to Nahoku in Las Vegas assuming this would be a defect in material and workmanship. They sent the piece back to Hawaii and notified me it would be 12-14 weeks and that I had to pay $40. The problem was obviously a defect as other jewelers in Las Vegas had stated. Very disapointed that $40 means more to Nahoku than the goodwill of standing behind their product. Will not be back but looking forward to Hawaii next year. UPDATE... received an email from this company today saying that they are waiving the $40 charge. think maybe I will have a change of heart here. everybody makes mistakes and the jewelry is...
