My husband and I signed up for the 18-month plan here. At first, the gym seemed decent, small, but it appeared to have all the right equipment, so we didn’t mind.

After a few months of consistently coming here, though, it’s clear that the equipment is extremely worn down. Some machines are so close together that it feels unsafe to use them, while others simply don’t function properly. It’s honestly a safety concern at this point.

Beyond the lack of maintenance, management is disappointing. While a few staff members are professional and kind, others (especially males at the front desk) are incredibly rude and unprofessional. I watched my husband get harassed over a key fob and treated extremely poorly, despite the fact that we paid over $1,000 for our membership. They seem to penny-pinch over the smallest things but ignore the bigger issues like outdated, unsafe machines, which is laughable.

When we raised our concerns to the manager, Bruno, it took weeks to get a response, and when he finally did reply, he brushed everything off, showing little accountability for how his staff behaves.

If you’re looking for a gym with outdated machines, rude staff, and management that turns a blind eye, this might be the place for you. But if you value professionalism, safety, and proper equipment upkeep, you’re far better off going elsewhere. Very...

The owner looks and acts as if he's on a ton of steroids. He flipped out on me for leaving 1 single weight plate on each side of the seated dip machine, and he smirked while telling me he looked back in the video feed to see who did it. I told him in a normal, inside voice that he was being a little ridiculous, and then he accused me of yelling and threatened to call the police. He then told me he didn't want "people like me" in his gym and said he would refund me, minus the daily rate for the days I was at the gym, even though I signed up for a monthly membership! The lunatic then slammed his office table causing change to go flying and heads everywhere to turn and stare. I was a bit scared at this point, but I held my ground and told him I had recorded him and came from a family of lawyers. He finally gave me a refund, but not before I was told by his "slow" office helper that I have to shut my mouth around him. The poor worker was obviously terrified of this abusive person. Do yourself a favor, and just don't go, unless you like scammers abusing you like a child in a wife...

This is the best deal on the beach. It's no frills, but they have all the right equipment and it's all well maintained. Everyone is friendly and inviting. But, here's the caution.. It's a real, old school gym. If you don't know how to gym, you might be lost. But, I respect and love the fact that they heavily enforce re-racking and do not allow obnoxious behavior like dropping weights, excessively loud grunting, and unnecessary shirtlessness.

Is a great gym for me... Not for everyone, maybe. There's no sauna, no special shampoo, lotion, or hair dryers in the locker room, but that's OK... I have that stuff at home. I go to the gym for the weights and cables and I need a few cardio machines too....
