DO NOT GO HERE!!! Go to any of the other restaurants on Ocean. We (two of us) stopped in for lunch after walking much of the street to see the sites. The host was very nice and not nearly as pushy as the some at the other restaurants so we chose Social.
Once seated, we waited about 10 minutes and finally flagged down a server and said we hadn't been seen yet. Another 10 minutes later we received the waters we ordered and each ordered one of the giant frozen drinks. We figured they would be over priced, but what the heck, we were visiting. We figured they may run about $25. I noticed on the menu that there was going to be a 20% service charge included. I know from my experience in the hospitality industry that is just another name for the tip pool.
Food was decent. I had a burger and she had a Cuban. The waiter was nice enough to bring us a "complimentary" shot of tequila for the long wait when he brought the check.
We did receive the itemized check and were shocked when we looked at it. The drinks were $45 each!! Burger $16 (reasonable). Cuban $12.50 (reasonable). 20% service charge, + tax. Yep, that was a $150 lunch for two sandwiches and two drinks (which may or may not have had any alcohol in them).
We felt a a bit silly for getting caught in this tourist trap so we were not going to tip. The 20% was included and the service was terrible. We left the table and stopped in the bathroom before leaving. The server stopped us and wondered why we hadn't tipped, if he had done something wrong, etc. We argued it was included in the service charge and he argued that he didn't get any of that money and it "went to the bartenders and hostess".
Bottom line, don't go here. You are going to over pay for drinks anywhere, but they deliberately try to scam their customers. No drink prices on the menu, then they lie about the gratuity.
If I could rate it less than 1 star, I...

We visited this South Beach restaurant expecting a memorable culinary experience, but unfortunately, what we paid for was mostly the ambience—not the food. The oceanfront setting is undeniably beautiful, with the sound of waves and a breezy, upscale vibe, but the flavors on the plate failed to match the scenery.
We ordered a round of Bulldog cocktails, which were decent but nothing extraordinary. For food, we tried the fish and chips, a cheeseburger, and a pasta dish that resembled fettuccine Alfredo. While the presentation was acceptable, the taste was underwhelming—generic, uninspired, and far from justifying the steep prices. The fish lacked crispness, the burger was average at best, and the pasta was heavy without much depth of flavor.
Service was okay—not exceptional, but not terrible—just what you’d expect for a tourist-heavy beachfront spot. However, the real shock came at the end: a $160 bill for what felt like mediocre bar food with a premium markup simply for the oceanDR location.
Final Verdict: If you’re looking for a pretty view and don’t mind overpaying for average food, this might work for you. But if you actually care about taste and value, there are far better options in...
Read moreWhere to even begin about how poor of a dining experience this was. Had eaten here about 5 years ago while in Miami and it was a great experience so decided to go back. Should have looked at recent reviews. The sidewalk atmosphere along Ocean Drive was excellent but everything else went downhill from there. To say the service was horrible is probably generous. Waited 45-50 minutes for our food and then my wife's order was wrong (missing the Avacado and tomato on her chicken sandwich that clearly stated on the menu that it included lettuce, tomato, and avacado) and my fries were cold. Took them another 5-10 minutes to correct my wife's order and it was still wrong. The waiter even said that the kitchen staff is sometimes like this...think they need to find new kitchen staff. Then on top of that the bill comes with an automatic 20% gratuity added. To finalize the pain of eating here our bill was $38 and some change...gave them $40 and he kept the change; only bringing us a $1 bill back.
There was a party of 2 next to us that each had a large alcoholic drink and shared a plate of 3 tacos...their bill was $120. Look at the prices closely before ordering.
Never again...there is too much variety of places to eat in the area to put up with this...
