Disappointing Experience – Poor Customer Service and Safety Concerns
We were very disappointed with our experience at this store. First, we were offended that they charged us the full retail price for a broken item, despite the circumstances. The store didn’t seem to care that the item was placed in an unsafe location and could easily be damaged. Here’s what happened: the store had glass items, including fragile glass pipes, displayed on low-level shelves at knee height. My 5-year-old son accidentally knocked over a glass pipe while we were browsing. Both my son and I immediately apologized for the accident. However, instead of acknowledging their poor display practices or showing any understanding, the store charged us $9 for the broken pipe. What was even more concerning is that they didn’t seem to care about the potential safety risks—my child could have been seriously injured by the broken glass. Fragile items like these should not be placed at such a low level where children can easily reach them, especially if they’re not secured properly. We had over $100 worth of beach souvenirs ready to purchase at the register, but after this incident, we decided not to go through with our purchase. We felt that, at the very least, they could have charged us wholesale instead of retail for the broken item as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, it was clear that customer care is not a priority for this store. We wish this store had better management, training, and thoughtfulness toward their customers’ experiences and safety. Read morePlease check very well your receipt directly in the store after the purchase, especially when you buy more items! I was "accidentally" double charged for a hat $24.99. When i claimed the error, the cashier didn't even looked "surprised" and said i should come back tomorrow (!) for the refund. When i insisted of giving me back my money, she gave my back exactly $24,99 in cash (the 99c in 2 quaters and the rest in one cent coins!). I told her that she should reimbourse me also the tax which i paid on top of that but she refused. I was tired so didn't want to argue but i should have insisted. No apology, no "sorry" from her. I wished i could give a ZERO star rating for that kind...
Read moreDefinition of a tourist trap. Expensive junk lol I couldn't even find cool souvenirs for my family back home. Everything screamed generic. I found better fridge magnets at Walgreens. The picture I posted was the only thing my wife liked. But the price was a hard pill to swallow. Maybe next time I'll fall for the trap, just not this time surf style. One more thing.... There is like four or five in a few blocks radius lol it truly feels like you are lost and repeating and walking in a circle so don't worry you're not lost. There's just that many in a short distance...
