Unpleasant Experience at Restoration Hardware Outlet Store
Review:
I have been a loyal customer of Restoration Hardware for years, having furnished my entire home with their quality furniture. However, my recent experience at the outlet store compelled me to share my concerns.
While I appreciate the brand's commitment to quality, I was disappointed by the disingenuous behavior of the staff. It seemed their assistance was tailored based on assumptions about customers' purchasing abilities. It's disheartening to feel like the level of assistance I receive is influenced by whether or not the staff believes I can afford the items in the store.
I observed a noticeable bias in their approach, limiting their help and conversation if they perceived that I might not make a purchase. This contrasted sharply with their engagement with other customers, offering them a range of services, including texting concierge assistance.
My loyalty to Restoration Hardware is not driven by a desire to flex, but rather because of the lasting quality of their furniture. However, encountering bias and discrimination upon entering the store is very unwelcoming and off-putting. I strongly believe that all customers, regardless of assumptions about their purchasing power, should be treated equally.
I urge Restoration Hardware to promote a more inclusive environment where all services are advertised and offered to every customer, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who appreciates the brand's quality and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi! I recently visited this outlet on Sunday, March 26th. Iāve been living in the downtown Milwaukee area all of my life and out of curiosity, I decided to visit this particular outlet because of the furniture display. We werenāt even in the outlet for 10-15 minutes and we were instantly asked questions as to why we were there. Might I add none of the other shoppers were asked these questions. We were constantly being looked at from every angle in the store. As we were proceeding to exit, the employee began texting on his phone and looking at us. We felt really uncomfortable and racially profiled. Especially since none of the others shoppers were asked questions or badgered as to why they were in the store, thereās a difference between asking someone if they need help/advice as opposed to continuously asking them why they are in the store. Good thing we didnāt spend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love this location, it was a chance to get some odd or 'slightly' damaged piece of Restoration Hardware at a deep discount. On a recent trip there however it has gone way downhill. The stuff that's left usually has major damage on it and is missing parts. Everything is on-sale all the time but the initial prices are now so inflated that you would have to be crazy to buy a dining table with a huge scratch or split in the wood through the middle for $3000 because in some fantasy land it was originally $7500. I have a feeling that the place is on its way out of this location, which is sad. It used to be a fun place to shop when the items there were somewhat of a deal. Instead went to Arhaus and found a great item brand new for less than the RH Outlet...
